4tb hdd for Macs

Plug & Play with my MacBook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this drive to act as my backup drive for my MacBook via my AirPort Extreme - worked straight out of the box with no additional setup and minimal configuration. The only thing I had to do was select the new drive in my system preferences, deselect usage of the old drive, and mark the new drive to be an encrypted backup and viola instant backup goodness.

2nd Passport

So went back into the store and they were helpful in finding a larger storage capacity My Passport which is what I wanted in the first place. It was so easy to set up, literally just plugged it into the computer!

Terrific backup system

I've bought multiple WD backups for my PCs, but I needed another one for my new Mac (especially given the Mac's limited HD size). It's fast, especially with the USB 3.0, and it efficiently backs up my documents in the background. I much prefer WD units to Seagate, and I think this one is a winner.
