I am loving my WD External Passport, I was motivated to buy it because my WD MY Cloud with the wireless feature took super long to transfer files. However the WD My Cloud Passport transfer rate is 10x faster. The interface is easy to use, hope this helps with your future purchase.

I had to backup some files and it did it pretty quick for the amount of files I was transferring.

Reasons I purchased the WD Passport drive. 1 - A really good value, even at full msr - 2 - Intuitive to use - 3 - Lots of storage in 4TB - 4 - Sale price made it a no brainer purchase - 5 - The black color is indiscrete - 6 - I can see why it had good reviews -

The device makes a very good backup on Apple computers. Setup easy and no problems.

I have so many photos to back and I ran out is disk space very fast. It is time to get 4T to copy all RAW photos and these external drive is very fast. Very quiet and reliable. So far no problem for me. I will get one more for backup.

So far HD I saw working flawlessly. I will update if any issues arise.

This drive is plug n'go with Mac, nothing to format, cannot be easier to use. It is fast and small sized (it could be a little bit thinner). Using it for backups as well as for saving photos to free space on my MacBook Pro.

I bought my first of these drives about a year ago and have had no issues. This second one is performing just as well. I would recommend for the price if you just need a good archive drive that doesn't require SSD speeds.

I bought this as a backup drive for my MacBook Pro because I needed the largest most compact affordable drive I could find. This fits the bill. I was also a welcome bonus that I could password protect it. Great drive

WD is a great brand and they make great external drives that are very good, reliable and last a long time. I am on my 2nd set of them and I would recommend them to everyone!! I have used them for years.

I bought this to act as a backup to my 2TB iPhoto Library SSD, 1TB MacOS SSD and 1TB local copy of my OneDrive. The price is very reasonable, the drive runs fine, it is not too fast nor too slow. A little higher speed, or a 7200 rpm drive, would get it 5 stars. I cannot say how long it will last even though it is only directly used for a daily backup and not accessed the rest of the time. But generally I have not been a fan of WD drives, having had 4 out of 8 of them fail in light use over time.

Western digital lives up to its name. This is my fourth western digital External compact hard drive. I use them for transferring and backing up files music photos etc. I'm a Mobile DJ and music producer.

This is my second My Passport for Mac- my other one got to be too small for a laptop backup. I will always choose WD for Mac. So easy to use- just plug in and use through Time Machine!

The WD Passport, was very easy to set-up and was ready to use immediately. I am using it as an external drive to store photographs; it was easy to set-up and I was able to create a filing system that more than satisfies my needs. The transfer speed through the USB3 port was more than excellent and easily supported my workflow. I recommend this product.

Bought this because it was a good price (about $100 with $25 back in Visa Checkout). Formatted it to have both a Mac sector and ex-Fat partition. No problems so far after about a month.

I've purchased WD hard drives in the past, and continue to do so because of their dependable reliability. This latest drive is being used for Time Machine backup for my new iMac.

As a teacher we are always creating new training aids for our students. This external device has plenty of storage room for all things teacher.
