Excellent Drive & Compact

It has proven t be a very good drive. I normally use Seagate, but the Price was right on this one. Perfect for on the go and traveling.

However, occasionally the Time Machine backup fails, and the drive shows that it has no contents (in reality, the backup data are still there, just not appearing when clicking on the icon). This requires to dismount and then remount the drive in order to have the Time Machine to be able to continue with its backups. Annoying, but not a show stopper. Seems strange for a hard drive specifically formatted for a Mac to be doing this (I have had similar problems with other WD external drives that were not specifically formatted for a Mac).

WD My Passport for Mac
