    I was able to easily transfer historical files to this drive from my old PC and load what I wanted without hassle to the new one. It also works great as a seamless expansion to my PC storage.

    For Time Machine, you need to format for Apple. It comes with WD software that isn't needed and automatically downloads. A bother since it's not needed with my MacAir, but otherwise it was a good purchase and does its job for a decent price .

    My only expectation that it would work with both older and newer Macs (regular USB and new USB-C connectors) was nicely met by the included but easily lost adapter. It works as a drive it was reasonably priced. Why BestBuy asks for reviews of rather unexciting basic products is beyond me.
