Bought this harddrive for school (PhD) and for backing up my macbook pro. It was so easy to use, lightweight, and compact. Very nice that it comes with a lightning connector so I don’t need to find my USB adapter! I wish it was all black, but color is the least of my worries.

This has been a great device for backing up my information. The 2TB of space is a way more than I expected to need so I won't need another any time soon. I also love that it is encrypted to keep all my information safe.

I have never used an external hard drive in the past but found I needed one to back up documents. I found this hard drive really easy to install and use. I was worried that it would be complicated and I would have a hard time getting it set up and utilizing it. That was not the case. It is a good size and easily portable if need be. I expected it to cost much more than it actually did. I am very happy with this purchase and should I ever run out of space, I would definitely buy again.

Used to send media to a client. data transferred with no issues and the drive survive shipment and the client had no issues accessing the files.

Easy to use and has a lot of space to hold games. This was simple to set up and does not take up a lot of space. I have the silver one and it looks nice next to my black gaming system.

I've used WD External Hard Drives for years now and can say these drives are easily applicable to my devices. I bought this one for the speed and amount of storage for my particular application. I loaded my collection of 4K movies which numbers approximately 180+ and the USB 3.0 is stable and has less corruption in my opinion but it's still always safe and a good idea to backup your files. Plus I love the look. I would recommend this product.

WD has always been a good hard drive to have to back up you data.

This is a great external USB hard drive. Not too large. Once it is set up, it is very easy to use. Set-up took me a bit of time and I had to read the instructions carefully. But I did it.

I needed an external drive that would comfortably back up all of my files from my laptop, and this one did the job perfectly! My previous external drive (also a WD) was not big enough to do the job anymore but is still working fine as an added backup for certain things. I've come to trust the WD brand to work right out of the box and last for a long time.

Great size and weight makes it perfect to pack in any laptop case! Great for the everyday use and is super reliable! I would buy it again!

Omg this is amazing I carry everywhere I go it have helped me save so much space on my phone my computer my tablet. lightweight, easy to use it work both on your phone and computer or laptop. I'm able to store summer stuff on here and I still have enough space. One of the best decision I ever made.

Excellent! High capacity in a small, portable, reasonably priced package.

This is a very cost-effective portable drive for the amount of storage it has. I was able to reformat it to ExFat in seconds so I could use it between PC and Mac machines. In this application, I don't use it to backup my PC or with Time Machine for my MacBook. I simply use it like a drive or SD card with Explorer and Finder. I took a while to copy all the files to it, but I now have this drive to archive them. I was able to clear out files on my MacBook to free up space on its SSD drive.
