My only complaint with it is that you have to download a special add-on for it to work with Time Machine. It's not a big deal in the long run, but it's a little strange that a hard drive with a USB-C plug requires additional content to work.

When set up for backups, Time Machine formatted it APFS. The drive works, but will not spin down and shut off when ejected. Even after disappearing from Finder, there is disk activity on the drive and the LED is blinking. Neither WD nor Apple has a clue but if I reformat it as MacOS Extended I can copy files to and from it and it ejects every time without a problem. You cannot use MacOS Extended for Time Machine. It must be an APFS volume.
