You do have to set up the software that comes with this to work. So beware of that. If you want something that works out of the box, then consider something else.

Been using them for years and they definitely have been reliable. USB 3.0 speeds up back up times and I am very pleased with the performance.

Good for that stuff. Complicated to start, have to download another app that has access to other features but was hoping for the simpler process they had 8 years ago when I got mine. Either way, decent product but expect to put work in at first

I was able to take it on a trip and easily present the pictures to the family.
