Upgraded from a usb a 3.0 port hardrice to this usb c. Speed is great.

This USB-C portable hard drive is great, but there's one caveat. It comes with a short USB-C cable and an adapter for standard USB 2.0. But when I tested the speed, using the adapter cut read/write speed by nearly 66%. If you need to use it with an older computer, get a USB-C to USB 2.0 cable. I bought a cheap Anker cable and the speed was just as good as USB-C to USB-C.

Tons of storage in compact design. Perfect for laptops

This product was perfect for me. I used it to take all the photos stored on my camera and phone. Still having plenty of space left and know its in a secure place.

I use this all the time to transfer my music from one laptop to the next and it’s been very helpful, can’t complain about my purchase

Nice fast portable drive that plugged in and went to work

The WD Passport Ultra 4 GB backup hard drive is a good value. Set-up with my HP laptop was a bit of a trial-and-error. The software was not as easy to install and it took me several tries before it cooperated. The first back-up didn't copy all of the files and I later realized that the user must check all of the files/folders on a C drive list. That list was not apparent to me on the first BU. With that said, although opening the icon to get to a new BU is clunky, the actual full BU was a breeze.
