Small, thin, user friendly for your backups! It is great for mac (I have used it on my macbook pro) this is a very good, reliable product.

Slim form factor great for transport. I bought this to use as a back-up for my work computer about once a month and keep it unhooked and in my safe the rest of the time. Back-up process is fast and easy

It's hard to find anything compatible for Apple devices such as MacBook Pro or Air. Thankfully things like this exists. And for what this external hard drive is, it works very well and can support a lot of RAM.

This external hard drive was just what I needed for my MacBook. Despite reading reviews complaining about it not being compatible with Mac, it worked very smoothly--NO set up required. I plugged it in and downloaded my photos so I could free up room on my laptop hard drive without any fuss. The folks at BestBuy were helpful, too. They said to just go to the checkout counter and make sure you ask for one configured for a Mac.

I previously had an older WD Passport and it lasted me almost 10 years. It was able to carry music and files over through multiple OS systems. It recently stopped working so I purchased this one and it's been great so far. Easy connectivity, fairly quick back ups and a nice design. Works well with MacOS and WD has set a strong expectation from my previous experience that this will last a long time.

Purchased this drive for Mac “Time Machine” backups for my Mac Book Air with a small hard drive. I had purchased a WD 5 TB drive to backup all my data on Mac and Windows devices plus Dropbox data but found Time Machine won’t allow other data sources on the drive used for Mac backups. This is working fine for that purpose.
