    My main use for this is to copy 10bit video files to my iPad and to backup media. Works without error so far, but is a bit costly for the capacity, features, and speed.

    I bought this hard drive and set it up with only Apple products and no laptop. It was not difficult to set up, it was actually quite easy. I had precious data on zip drives. Since I paid so much for this hard drive, I trusted it and therefore I transferred all of my data to it and cleared the zip drives. It worked great for about three days, then all of my data was gone, and the hard drive memory was gone. I returned it to Best Buy and got a refund with no problem, but that does not return all of that data I lost. I guess it was just my luck, and I should not have deleted that data off of the zip drives.
