this item has been very helpful. the new PS5 has pretty limited internal data. and im playing alot of the previous 4th gen games which quickly capped it out. so having this unit for those titles has allowed me to continue doing so while saving room on the machine for 5th gen games. internal and portable SSD are very expensive so this is a very cost affective option by comparison

Honestly it works pretty good with ease lots of space.

This is a very good 5 TB Western Digital WD external portable hard drive. I have used a smaller size of such HDD in the past few years but this one is large enough to hold more files than other models.

Fantastic device. I'm using it with a PS5 and I had nearly 400 GB of PS4 games on it. It took less than 15 minutes to set up, format, and move my PS4 games over to the HD. A must-have for anyone with a deep PS4 catalog, or of you want to store the 20+ PS Plus collection games. Super smooth play (and quick loading) from the SSD.

I love this external drive I use it to store all my work on it. As a nature photographer, I have loads of photos and videos that take up a lot of space on my laptop and this saves me so much room.

Solid, reliable. I have several of these, and they work pretty well. Someday they might even upgrade the cable since USBA is becoming rarer.

This drive is extremely easy to use and comes with speed in mind. The only downside is that it requires an external power source like a usb powered hub.

Seems to work great for the PS5. Plug and play. Installation and formatting is super easy. Freed up a ton of room internally. I should have purchased the 2 TB. Also bought a 5TB external hard drive to transfer the PS4 games onto.

I am taking a course and the class uses goggle classroom and because of the latest technology on my laptop, I still have a learning curve but it would have been so much longer if not for the new laptop and it's capabilities. The geek squad is available for questions whenever they arise.

Excellent build quality, very durable. Ample space to hold all your games and adequate speeds (not the fastest, but plenty fast enough). Does what it should as expected, no complaints

Meant to get an ssd for more storage but this thing definitely work, just not what i needed it for!

This was bought as a game dump for my laptop which only has a 1tb ssd and is brand new so expansion isn’t really an option without voiding the warranty. I wanted somewhere to have all of my games and not have to worry about the launchers getting confused which drive to pull from because thinking you’re entire steam or epic or origin etc. library is gone and just thinking of the hours of re-downloading you’ll have to do is enough for cardiac arrest. I’ll be honest, this thing is pretty impressive. Boot times for games are noticeably slower than a new high speed ssd, yes, but not so much slower that I find myself wishing I had dumped some big bucks on an external solid state. Or realistically two if I were to match the capacity. For the price this is absolutely the best option if you’re going for an external expansion and don’t mind a 10% load time increase.

Excellent external hard drive for my Xbox Series X. Great price for the amount of storage and transfers game back and forth fairly quickly.

It's just like the description. I thought it was only for gaming but it works fine for just files.

Great to use and setup with it being an external HDD, maybe not the best for games, its better to get an SSD but i bought this one for media and storage and it works fantastic as a portable option.
