I own four of these hard drives in increasing sizes. Two are many years old. I use them to hold the majority of my personal files and backup, and I trust them with all my family's photographic history.

It is not as fast as an SSD but it is definitely faster than my old external drive, it has the best price per Gb!

I went to the store to buy a cheaper storage device but the 2 that were on sale were sold out. I needed this to move information from my son’s laptop so we went with this device. We’ve had no problems with it so far

This hard drive does work pretty well for writing to the disk. Haven’t yet done anything on the other side of it (ie read) but I’m pretty sure it’ll work well there too. Caveat: this thing does heat up after a steady write time. You’ll have to make sure to not do that for longer than 10 minutes after which the write speeds will slow down by a lot. I would suggest getting fans for keeping or cooler if you need that. All in all pretty good hard drive.

My go to for backing up my photographs. I like the metal housing and have never had issues with these external drives.

You know what WD Black means. You pay a little more and it’s worth every cent.

Great product , the space is definitely a win but cant play ps5 games on it without copying them to the console. the only downfall ! now if you have a ps4 or equivalent console you can have all the games downloaded and played instantly without having to copy.

Its good for storages and i brought its for download games for my ps5 and work very good and fast..
