These drives are an excellent choice if you are looking for good NAS drives. They are fairly quite and work as intended. As for longevity, I have two 4 TB versions of these that are over 10 years old and only one of them has thrown 1 error more recently. For these being on quite a bit, that is an excellent life span.

The installation process was only slightly more complicated due to some limited cable length with in my own build. I'm very satisfied with my data reading speeds and the data migration worked successfully with few reinstalls necessary.

I purchased this drive to use in my home server. I had no issues installing the drive and getting the files from the old drive copied over. I found the drive to be reasonable priced for the size.

WD Red+ in WD PR4100 is a winning combination. The drives are reliable, fast, and should last for a very long time, Four drives in RAID5 provides the speed and security necessary for the modern home NAS. The WD Red+ drives may be a bit more expensive, but it's worth it.

Solid drives. Run at higher speed so they can get warm (just like any other HDD). Just wish I had budget and space for more.

I've purchased seven of these 10TB drives. The write speeds are good, and so is the price. I wanted to stick with relatively low capacity (10TB) in case of eventual drive failure, but I don't think that's going to be an issue.

It dose everyrhing you would expect a hdd to do and it dose it well.

Purchased 6 of these for my newly built NAS. So far running flawless with 0 issues. Great read and write speeds when set up in RAID configuration.
