I’ve been using four of these WD Red Plus 10TB drives in my home server for over a year now, and they’ve been rock solid. They strike a great balance between price and capacity, making them a smart pick for anyone looking to expand their storage without breaking the bank.
These drives are designed for 24/7 use, and it shows—they run quiet, stay cool, and haven’t given me a single issue since installation. The only downside is the lack of middle mounting holes on the sides, which made fitting them into my case a bit finicky, but once installed, they’ve been flawless.
If you’re building a NAS or upgrading your server, these are a great choice.

I picked up this hard drive to use strictly for storing my game library, and it’s been absolutely perfect. The setup was quick, and it was immediately recognized by my PC. It runs quiet, stays cool, and has handled every large game install I’ve thrown at it with no issues. Load times are solid for an HDD, and the storage space is more than enough for all my Steam, Epic, and Rockstar titles.
If you’re looking for a reliable and affordable drive to hold your games without worrying about space, this HDD is a great choice. It’s been rock-solid since day one — highly recommend it!

Yo, this WD Red Plus 10TB is exactly what I needed for archiving my audio and video projects. Speed isn’t the main focus here—it’s all about reliability and space, and this drive delivers. 10TB means I’ve got plenty of room to store finished projects, raw files, and backups without worrying about running out of space anytime soon.
It’s a NAS drive, so it’s built for 24/7 operation, which means it’s crazy reliable. Runs quiet, stays cool, and doesn’t randomly drop out like cheaper drives. Perfect for long-term storage while keeping everything easily accessible when I need to pull up old projects.
If you need a massive, dependable archive drive for your work, this one’s a solid choice.

These drives are an excellent choice if you are looking for good NAS drives. They are fairly quite and work as intended. As for longevity, I have two 4 TB versions of these that are over 10 years old and only one of them has thrown 1 error more recently. For these being on quite a bit, that is an excellent life span.

The installation process was only slightly more complicated due to some limited cable length with in my own build. I'm very satisfied with my data reading speeds and the data migration worked successfully with few reinstalls necessary.

recently purchased the WD Red Plus NAS drive for my home server, and it has exceeded my expectations. This drive is specifically designed for NAS systems, and it shows. It runs quietly, stays cool even during heavy use, and is optimized for 24/7 operation.
The installation was straightforward, and it performs flawlessly in my RAID setup. The NASware 3.0 technology provides added reliability and peace of mind for my important data. While it’s not the fastest drive out there (5400 RPM), it’s perfect for backups, file sharing, and streaming in a home or small office environment.
If you’re looking for a dependable and efficient NAS drive, the WD Red Plus is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

WD Red+ in WD PR4100 is a winning combination. The drives are reliable, fast, and should last for a very long time, Four drives in RAID5 provides the speed and security necessary for the modern home NAS. The WD Red+ drives may be a bit more expensive, but it's worth it.

I've purchased seven of these 10TB drives. The write speeds are good, and so is the price. I wanted to stick with relatively low capacity (10TB) in case of eventual drive failure, but I don't think that's going to be an issue.
