Great buy and a solid drive. Bought several of these for my Raid enclosure and I typically move several terabytes to them daily without fail.

I’m using these in my NAS and they fit the bill just fine. If you’re building a NAS either yourself or a prebuilt chassis I’d recommend picking up an SSD for caching as well.

Perfect drive for a NAS setup homelands thst I’m setting up. Very reliable and would recommend for anyone looking for adding more storage to their network.

SUPER RELIABLE WD RED PLUS DRIVES ARE A MUST HAVE FOR YOUR NAS!!!

My previous 2TB WD Red was getting a bit full, so I upgraded to double the capacity. Don't have a NAS system, but this is fine of long-term bulk storage.

This replaced the original WD HDD that was in a G-Drive external storage unit. Thankfully, this WD Red is 7200 rpm versus the slower older 5200 rpm that originally was from the OEM. Looking forward to another 5 years of use, and continuing using the original enclosure to avoid waste.

They are great so far, used them to expand my NAS. Perform as expected. Came with mounting screws which saved me time digging through draws trying to fine the ones for my case.

I am able to do somany things with the extra storeage this device provides, buying it was a breeze ins tore as well as easy to self install

This is the third Western Digital NAS drive I have added to my server. No problems with this one or the other two.

Excellent quality hdd. Have used these for many years with great success (low failure rates).

Installed the 4TB Red Plus as a "workhorse" drive in a new system that came with a 512GB SSD & a 2TB HDD. The "5 Star" rating is based on Technology & Expectation (that is, the Expectation - or hope - that it does not die an early death!). The technology appeal was that the Red Plus uses CMR for writes, which should be faster & offer greater life than the more common (at lower prices) SMR tech. Accordingly, am using the Red Plus (primarily) to house files that are frequently re-written, reserving the "oem" SMR drive for "static" files - and keeping the SSD strictly for Windows / Applications. Best Buy had a competitive price on the Red Plus, with same day in-store pick-up, and we prefer to buy "locally" whenever feasible.

It did what it was supposed to do, So far so good. Really not much more to say about it. Won't really know how good it is until a couple of years from now if its still running.

The hard drive is a blessing for my security system. Thanks to all the techs that helped me. I am very pleased with my purchase and the way I was treated.

WD Red drives are great. I've used them for 12 years now in several of my computers. No failures!!!

These WD Reds last for years. I'm just now swapping out the old ones because they are showing signs of age.

Runs in my Unifi Dream Machine SE just fine. Quiet does not get too hot and it stores my video. =p

The drive is good for video storage, music files and such. Does the job and is silent most of the time. Comes with a manufacture 3 year which great.

Drive worked perfectly put of the box. The website showed that the store had 2 in stock which was just what I needed to fix a broken NAS.
