Great drive, tons of space

WD Red Plus 8TB drives

Good NAS drive

They were recognized and installed without any problems. For those of you who are questioning WD Red drives over the SMR debacle, The Red Plus and the Red Pro are CMR drives. Overall I am pleased with the performance of these drives.

Industry Standard with Servers or NAS

One of the best independently rated drives on the market. Of course always do a burn in when getting one. Even after a burn in over the past 12 years I've never had to send one in for an RMA. Also Bestbuy has them at a fraction of the cost of Amazon so...

Excelent Choice for NAS Storage

But a great HD for my NAS. I can only hope it lasts longer than it is expected to as these are not things I want to buy every other year.

Excellent Drive for unRaid

Whenever I buy a new one - I put it in a my parity drive, and rotate the previous parity drive into the array as a data drive in the array (thus keeping my newest and most reliable as my Parity drive which gets hit every time data is sent to the array.
