Picked this up after a drive died suddenly in my NAS box. Generally speaking have been very happy with the drive. My one hesitation is that this particular drive runs at ~52C versus my other 3 WD NAS 8 TB drives which are all running 47C-49C. Not significant and likely just fine, but being this is the only new drive, hoping there aren't any long term reliability issues that will be associated with the slightly higher operating temperature.

Years ago I switch from Seagate to WD when I kept having drive failures. Thru the years having bought 100s of WD drives and only having only 2 WD drive failures the others have been retired.

I now have 4 of these in my Mycloud 4100 NAS and they function without any problems. I had 2 in but saw the need to add an extra 16 TB, and installation and formatting was easy. Love these drives, and when I inevitably have to move up to an 8 disk NAS I’ll fill it with these.

No issues with my NAT setup, a little noisy but great performance!

This was a great purchase! When I first got it, the SATA connector had been damaged. It may have happened during shipping. I replaced it, though, and it's exactly what I wanted.

if your going to go big, go Western Digital. Not only do they have the best HD utilities but the speed is also great for this NAS drive. I use it in my plex server and it significantly helped with the server performance.

Excellent service and excellent product. I can always count on Best Buy to have the products I need. The WD Red Plus drive is a quality product, and the Best Buy price was very competitive.

I have heard many tales about WD Red Drives and I’m starting to believe them. Quiet, hard-working, and dependable as all get out! Working great in my Synology device!

I have over 60 computers and need emplacements. Best Buy always has what I need in stock. We can depend on Best Buy in store or on line for our computer needs

Great hard drive for my NAS built. I miss the old prices before the Chia farming craze, which caused hard drives to skyrocket in price. Nowadays these drives and larger sell for an arm and a leg. Performance is great and definitely not a crappy SMR drive.

No problems running this drive in my Synology NAS. Caught this baby on sale which made the deal little bit sweeter. I would buy another if I needed to.

Added this HDD for my NAS in the office. If any issues I will update this post, but so far so good. Read and write speeds of HDD is great as well.

These are fairly quiet and energy efficient. Overall, a good drive at a sweet spot for a NAS. Not the fastest, but you wouldn't be buying a spinning drive if you want the fastest transfer rates, would you?

Best hdd for a NAS, highly recommend them.. but get them quickly because they sell out easily

The drive is great, did a pre lear to make sure all sectors were good. No issues at all, can never go wrong with WD.

Purchased for use in a NAS. So far, so good. The packaging included some screws for mounting if necessary as well.

Wish the price would be less, I need like 10 more of those. Works as expected, will see how long it will last.

CMR HDD. I think it’s 5400RPM, but I get a consistent 120MBps transfer. More than enough for streaming media.

Big drive and fast. Use it as en external rive with a drive mount. Works perfectly
