    I got three of these they all passed clean in bad blocks and smart checks. They are not overly loud, but I would not them on a system that sits in my desk, entertainment center, etc... Seem to be a good value / quality initially, I have not them long enough to speak in durability. I did pick them up in store to avoid small container shipping.

    What can I say other than they work as advertised. I purchased 2 to add to Raid device. I already had 2 of the same but a smaller size in the same device that have been working great for over 7 years.

    I've always been happy with Western Digital drives. I've had 4 of them in my NAS for years and 1 of them finally died. This is the replacement. They aren't loud or get too hot. Wish they cost less but I couldn't afford to wait for a sale.

    Bought 2 of these WD Reds for my Synology DS920+. I'm writing this 6 months later, still no issues, they're a lot quieter than my HGST drives.

    Awesome drive. I have 4 8tb drives in a raid config on a DAS for my photography. Love that i do not have to worry anout space for anlong while.

    Bigger than a WD Passport but holds a lot. Needed one drive instead of multiple thumb drives & multiple passport hard drives. Newer model holds so much I can copy data & wipe/crush all the older hardware.

    Very cost effective long term storage option. You may choose SSD for your OS, but go with a Red Plus for downloads and misc storage
