This booster did not improve our cell reception one bit. We normally get 1 to 2 bars, and it was the same with the booster. Disappointed, but thanks to BestBuy's return policy, we returned it the next day. The online reviews are good on this product, so it must work most of the time.

If you live in an area where the cell signal is iffy, the eqo weBoost is a must-have. It truly works, but keep in mind the better the signal you currently have, the greater the coverage in your house the weBoost will give you. As long as you have enough signal to make a call, the weBoost can be of benefit. Just find the area of your house, most likely in front of a window, where the signal is strongest and place the base there. You can determine the exact signal strength using your cell phone. Just do a search to find out how this is done using your device. You'll then need to place the antenna at least 6 feet away. Unfortunately, the antenna is connected to the base using a coaxial cable (25' cable included) instead of wirelessly, so you'll need to keep that in mind as you consider where the base will go. This is the only reason I took off 1 star. Though it works will all carriers, I'm using it with AT&T. I've noticed a 10-15 decibel signal increase, which is pretty substantial. This translates into faster connection speeds, and no dropped calls. The weBoost is not inexpensive, but if you need a more dependable cell signal, it's worth every penny.

I got this hoping to get a better signal in my house and I did, but not without some work. First off, it comes with two antennae's. One you can place in your window, the other you need to mount on the outside of your house. I tried the easy way and placed the window antennae in front of a window. That might have gotten me one bar, but not really what I was looking for. I tried a couple different sides of the house, but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. Then I mounted the outside antennae on one side of my house. That got me a full 1 to 2 more bars. Not great, but better. I now have fewer dropped calls. I'm going to try to find the best side of the house to get a better signal. I'm hopeful that once I find the best side I'll get a strong enough signal to avoid dropped calls. If you are looking for an easy solution to get a better cell signal, this may not be it. If you are willing and able to mount an antennae up on the side of your house, then I would definitely give this a try.

Maybe it's just me, but the weBoost didn't pan out for me the way I had hoped for. What do I mean? Well, for instance, the setup is very straight-forward and simple. After placing the units in different locations in my apartment, it made my signal improve only to -102 from -130 (lower is better, -60 is the strongest reception you can get), improvement yes, but not as much as I had hoped for... I had always had a -120 to -130 range with AT&T in my area, while it's on the higher side, it's not slow at all. Out of curiousity, I had installed the weBoost at my mother's house, and surprise surprise, -90 to -75. I suppose it depends on where your located for your desire results. I still like this unit and maybe when/if I move, this will give me the results I would like...

Overall with Verizon as my provider it boosted my basement by about one bar. The problems I have with the product are that you need to set the antenna in a window sill which is pretty big and it needs to be in a window that has the best reception which is not always the area where your signal needs boosted. The antenna attaches to a booster with only a 25 foot cord so you can only boost one room and the booster is also large. There's an external antenna that they want you to put outside the window and somehow close the window with the cord in it. This wasn't possible with my window. It would be a lot better if they reduced the size and made the booster wireless to be more convenient.

Thank you for writing a review. We are sorry to see that the booster wasn't a five star product for you. The reason we have wires from antenna to booster is so that signal travels through that, rather than having to travel through walls, ceilings etc. This allows us to get signal from outside to in, without as many obstructions. Overall, the weBoost cell phone booster worked well to help boost 4g signal in my house. To be clear, you must have a cell signal in your area for the booster to work. What I was surprised by, is just how bulky the booster system is. There is the antenna that goes in your window sill, a box that sits inside the window and a another box that connects to the first box by a cable. I expected an antenna and a box to boost the signal. I didn't expect to have a cable running across the room to connect two boxes. If you absolutely need to boost cellular signal in your home, this system works well.

Set up is Step 1 - 6 with each piece marked. You can tell a lot of thought went into this for easy set up and if you have a problem there are different ways to get in contact with the product support listed for you by website, email or phone. I live on the very edge of a 4G covered area in the boondocks in the middle of the woods in a log home with a metal roof. I had 3G (no 4G at all) with 2 bars and had to use WiFi or my cell phone was totally useless. I hooked this up and moved it around the room as suggested and when I found the right spot...I now have 4G with 4 bars and it is faster than it has ever been for connecting to the internet, etc. I just thought, even though I had no 4G, maybe this product would at least boost my bars up some with the 3G...well, it miraculously got me 4G and the 4 bars that made a huge difference. I don't even have the outside antenna hooked up yet and wonder if I will even need to. I was concerned that you would need to drill a hole or something for the outside antenna, but if you have regular windows (which I don't because mine crank from the side), they provide a flat antenna wire so you just put your antenna out there and close the window on the wire that seems to be made for this purpose.

The booster was very easy to put together, they had great instructions included in the box, piece by piece labeled and reflected in a diagram. It does take a while to get situated to the appropriate spots in the house, you have to unplug and plug it back in each time you make a change to the direction of the booster. We tried this in a metal building in a very rural area, trying to put it through its paces, as this is where we would need to use this product. While we got the signal to green and experienced some mild improvement in the ability to get text messages to come in and out, we still aren’t able to get phone calls very consistently and does not allow for any usage of internet with cell data. I like the design of the equipment, it’s light-weight and very sleek looking but to have to spread the cables out across the room to function is not very functional based on our layout in the building. All in all, it's probably doing all that it can do, in terms of the available cell town signal and getting that signal replicated inside the building. But even with this booster, cell service is still negligible inside, the outside signal was at least useable. So try for yourself, just don't expect a miracle depending on your situation. I can see this being ok for maybe apartment living, or crowded areas that might cut a 5 bar signal down to 3, but if you are already at 2-3 bars of signal, this product isn't really going to do anything for you. And if it does, it's only going to be right next to the booster, the radius is greatly reduced depending on incoming signal.

I was excited to try out the Weboost cell signal booster as we live in an area that gives me two bars on a good day. We really needed something. Enter Weboost. Setup was not difficult, but it is a bit unsightly. You have to find the window in your house where you the best signal, place an antenna on the outside of the window that runs to a receiver, that then connects to the booster. The best signal I got in my house was all the way on one side of the house at -114. Once connected, I looked at my signal and it went all the way to -80! A huge improvement...until you walk 20 or so feet away and then it starts to decrease the further away you get. If I am on a call that I don't want to drop, I just make sure I am on the side of the house where the Weboost is. All in all this is a pretty good product. My rating would be 3.5 stars if that was an option, but will give them 4 because it does work as advertised. If you are out in the sticks and need a boost, it is probably worth the money to buy. If you have a so-so signal and want to bump it up, I do not know if I would spend the money.

I admit I was skeptical about this thing actually working as it said it would. I did my research and wasn't sure what to expect. Setup was ok... trying to find the right spot to put it so it was aimed in the direction of closest tower and simultaneously find a spot for the other piece of the unit, at least 20ft away was tough... once I had everything put someplace where it didn't look too out of place or look too awkward i tested it out and it I will say that it does work as advertised. I used to get 1 bar or no service in my house depending where I was in my house. Now I'm consistently getting 3-4 bars and haven't had a dropped call since I installed it. If I could make setup a little easier, or even better, Make the unit WIRELESS, I would give 5 stars. But overall it works just like they say it will.

When the weBoost first arrived I was surprised by the size. Seemed to be a bit bigger than in the pictures. Upon opening the outer box you find that all of the parts are labeled to their corresponding steps in the instruction manual. This is a good practice for any manufacturer. Nothing seemed to be “overpacked” but was not minimalistic either. All bags that contained cables were zip bags, making repacking so much cleaner and simple. The cable lengths are sufficient for most installations and the instructions were clear on nearly all items. I actually read them completely prior to installing and came across some outdated information. There was a card/insert and a note in the back informing the customer that YOU MUST register the device with your cellular carrier prior to installation. With little other information on the what and why, I called technical support. I was informed that this practice was required with previous versions and no longer necessary. The most difficult part of installation for me was attaching the 25’ cable to the indoor antenna. The location of the terminal is under the stand and it is extremely difficult to maneuver the cable and then twist it on. If your fingers are thick or lack a high level of dexterity you will likely find the process impossible. After getting all the cables strung out and connected, I plugged in the power supply. The one status light on the front blinked between orange and blue for a few seconds and then went steady blue. Ok, points for fast startup. Then I set about testing signal strength and data rates in my four baseline locations in my home. Here is where my hopes were quickly dashed. There was no significant increase in signal strength in most locations; and it actually degraded in one. I tried it in two configurations: one with the indoor antenna attached and one using just the base as a repeater. I don’t know if these actually provide any function for others, but in my home is was like nothing had changed. The units are quite big and light which makes me believe that they are filled with a lot of open space and not much meat. The only time I saw any improvement in signal level, was when I placed my phone directly in front of the indoor antenna two inches away. And the antenna wasn’t even connected at that time! Needless to say, I won’t be keeping these $400.00 doorstops.

The unit was easy enough to install although there were a couple of surprises in the instruction related to the installation location. After installing the unit, I expected a significant boost in the cell signal in areas of the house where the signal was previously poor, The best I received was one additional bar of signal strength. I moved the unit several time in an attempt to get a better signal but did not. I am sure that it is probably related to the construction of the building in which I live, but although there was an improvement in signal strength, it was not as much as I expected from the documentation and advertising. I plan to relocate the unit to a second residence where I also have a signal problem. I'll update this review if the results are different.

Upon first hearing about this device, I thought it simply was going to be like one of those "mini-towers" the cell providers offer to customers in a low signal area. Those need to hook up to your existing wifi network. This device, however, is standalone. And has no such requirement. The setup is as easy as can be, truly plug and play. Each component needs to be at least 6-10 feet from each other to have the unit provide optimal enhancement. In an already well served area on a major network, this device has pushed me from an almost perfect signal to a perfect signal. Once we have some visitors who utilize other mobile networks, it will be interesting to see if their improvements differ. As a whole, the unit does not disappoint. It does what it says on the box, and does it fairly well. It's nice to have a product that states that it's easy to setup - to actually BE easy to setup!

I was a little skeptical about this when I first received it but I was definitely excited to give it a try. Installation was easy but I did have to move it and install elsewhere to get the best signal. My initial spot yielded me absolutely no results but when I moved it things were perfect. I live on property with little interference so if you have a lot of trees or anything around you your experience may be a little different but overall I do think if you have signal issues in your home this is definitely worth at least giving it a try. If you generally have decent signal strength then you may be disappointed (and honestly don't really need a booster). I did notice that a friend with a different carrier came by and was amazed by how great her signal was (she normally can't get service in any building unless she's by a window at best) so she plans on grabbing one of these asap.

This is an amazing product for people who live out in rural areas with weak cell signal. If you are able to get good signal outside but cannot get any signal indoors then this product is amazing for you. The booster unit covers about 1200 sq ft, and can be placed pretty far from the antennae due to a long cable that is provided with it. The outdoor antennae is very slim and will fit between your window and screen if you have them installed. Only one portion of the unit needs to be powered which is good for anyone who is short on plugs in the household. Overall this is an amazing product that works exactly as advertised and is super easy to set up.

I don't even know where to begin. We live in a very rural area where there is no cable TV and virtually no cell service. Over the years we've struggled to stay current with all the tech. Satellite TV, and now satellite Internet. The ONLY cell tower nearby is AT&T with barely one bar signal that will not maintain a connection without doing gymnastics. We learned from the Wilson web site how to do field tests with our phones and generally we were -119 dBm mostly outside and occasionally -109 dBm. If you've done your homework, you know those are virtually dead zone numbers. Still, we were desperate. We received the Eqo, Weboost system by Wilson. We got it set up and it boosted us up to maybe -109 dBM. I called the tech support on a Friday afternoon and they recommended adding an outside directional antenna that worked with this system. By Monday it was delivered. We followed the instructions carefully with the roof mount antenna and inside placement of the booster & antenna. Wow. Today, standing near the booster, I have -70 dBm! (Full bars). That is amazing! We still don't receive enough boost in other rooms in our house to easily make and receive calls, but in our living area we have a constant 2-3 bars with both iPhone and android. The best part is that I can put my iPhone next to the antenna booster receive full bars, pair the Bluetooth with our Panasonic handset telephone, model TGF 372 and make and recceive calls all round inside my home, and outside up to my husbands shop about 200 feet and down to our picnic area about 40 yards away. All with my iPhone sitting on a table next to the WeBoost. We are considering getting rid of our landline. Hey, we may even be able to stream tv on our devices using cell service. The point is, for us, this product is fabulous. Wilson rocks with their knowledgeable and helpful customer service. Their products have given us so much potential to improve our lives! Our grandchildren visited yesterday and were thrilled that they could keep up with their friends. "3 bars grandma!" Lol. Thanks Wilson, even old folks were able to get this system set up!
