weBoost Cell Phone booster
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In the box. 1. Outside antenna 2. Two 30ft rolls of coaxial cable. 3. 1 union for coax cable. 4. Mounting hardware for outside antenna 5.User manual and other instructions. 6. Inside broadcast unit. 7. Broadcast antenna. The unit comes with an outside antenna that can be placed on either a pipe or flat against the building. Instructions recommend you mount to an existing pipe, as to better fine tune the antenna. The instructions refer to an app that points to the closest cell tower. After finding the tower I installed the outside antenna below my TV antenna. This install method requires drilling a whole to run the cable. I just followed the cable for the TV into the house. Once inside the home, I set the unit where I thought it cover most of the house. I set the power cord to the closest outlet, and plugged it in. All the lights on the top lit, I screwed n the coax and inside antenna. Since installing the weBoost Cell Phone Signal Booster I have not dropped a call and people have stopped saying I am breaking up. I would recommend the weBoost system to friends and family.

As Expected
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In my household are two Samsung S20 FE 5G Unlocked, one on Spectrum/Verizon (mine) and one on Cricket/AT&T and two Pixel 3a’s one Mint Mobile/T-Mobile and one on Spectrum. While the 2 Samsungs are 5G capable, they do not have mmWave for Verizon UltraWideband (high-band 5G), but could use their Nationwide 5G (considered low-band 5G) when it is deployed in my area. At&t’s 5G might be available on Cricket right now in my area (at least the low-band) but that mobile line doesn't meet the requirement to access it. This booster states it is ready for 5G, but that will be the sub6 variety given the bands it says it will work with 5G (12/17, 13, 5, 4, and 25/2); which compromise the low and mid band 5G ranges of the sub6 spectrum. All 3 carriers get boosted when in range and call quality is perfect; sounds like the person is right there. My house is located in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains and I’m in a bowl of land topography. All of the 3 cellular providers get about 2 bars inside the home both upstairs and downstairs gets about the same signal. It doesn’t ever drop during calls, but call quality definitely suffers. My use is for increased signal in my basement office. I have used a zBoost product for many years and worked great until VOLTE became mainstream and bands began to get repurposed. Now it doesn’t help at all. Lately I have been using Wifi-Calling but I will have call drop out too often around the 15 minute mark or it will have a grainy/robotic sound. The weBoost is working great for my needs. The exterior location of the antenna gets 4 bars on my phone and both Cell Mapper and Open Signal apps show full bars in that location. From the booster in the basement, I have full bars in the office and 3 bars up from 1 to 2 typically when in the adjacent downstairs living room. Overall I am pleased. A word on finding the tower for your area. In the box instructions weBoost recommends the Open Signal app, but on their webapge Cell Mapper, with an included tutorial on how to find the tower to make sure the antenna is in the best orientation to receive the signal. Cell Mapper is pretty in-depth in scope, but actually shows where the tower is on a map. Open Signal is super easy to use and quickly points where the tower is like a compass. However, Open Signal asks for way more permissions and collects more data. So I would recommend using it for just the quick setup and then uninstalling the app. While this is designed to be used with a poll, it can be mounted on decking. Because this is not considered an omni-directional antenna, it is better to mount on a poll to achieve the best orientation, however, mine is pointed in the general direction of the tower and mounted on my front porch and I have achieved the gains I was hoping for. The instructions also state that the coverage level you will receive inside, is determined by the signal strength of the antenna location outside. So if your signal is weak outside, then you will see an upgrade inside, but the coverage area inside won’t be as great. Since I already had a booster antenna setup, I did not use the included RG6 coax cable; although it is way better quality than what came with the zBoost. I had previously run an RG6-Quad shield and between a 50ft - 60ft run. The kit comes with two 30ft connections with a female coupler. If you have a great high speed, low-latency connection outside at the antenna install point, I would think the coupler would be fine to use if you need more distance than 30ft, however, if you are dBm’s are high I would recommend a run without a splitter/coupler.

Excellent results for my den's dead zone!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I broke open the weBoost Home Studio Cell Phone Signal Booster kit today. As I opened the box, everything I need is included. The large outdoor antenna, 2 rolls of RG-6 cable, a male/male coax adapter to put the cables together if needed, the indoor antenna and receiver, and a 110v adapter for indoor power. The kit includes a mount, but they do recommend using a pole mount so you can aim the outdoor antenna. I chose that route as I have an old UHF antenna on the eave of my house, and it was up at the peak giving me the best vantage point to my closest Verizon signal. I downloaded the Opensignal app from the play store and it told me exactly what I imagined. I have a den that is a dead zone. I can use my 4g phone throughout the house, but if I try to start a call from that room, it takes forever for it to connect and start ringing. The app showed my neighborhood and many of the houses were green. Mine was red. I’m guessing a neighbor signed up and that’s where the app chose to mark the dead zone. Anyway, I installed the kit. It’s straightforward if you’ve ever run RG-59 or RG-6 for satellite tv, security cameras, or cable. I mounted the outdoor antenna and attached the RG-6 cable to the underside of the eaves with plastic cable clamps. I was able to drill out the old antenna hole through the stucco into the house. Once the cable was inside the house, I connected the indoor antenna and plugged it in. I should say here that the Opensignal app is very useful because I always thought my closest signal was due west just outside of the multiple tracts of homes in my neighborhood, but it’s northeast in a brick substation under the high-tension lines. Connecting the indoor receiver and powering it up, I got all the red lights to turn green and I was ready to test it out. I called a friend and I’d say 80% of the time or better, it takes multiple tries to get the phone to connect from the den. I usually try a few times, then it becomes a task I want to win, so I just keep trying or I see how many minutes can go by before it starts ringing. Not today. I sent the call and it did the usual lag. Ah, this thing isn’t going to work….but then after about 10 seconds, connected and ringing. I talk to him for a few minutes and then I have to try a few more. Success on about 5 calls and I’m happy. Usually, the phone shows 2 bars when I send a call and it drops to none as the call tries to connect. Not now! Full bars and no frustration. I’m extremely happy with the results I received today. This room has been terrible not only for myself, but I’ve had guests over and many of them have problems with that room too. It’s happened with several different phone brands, so that can’t be the problem. Most if not all of us use Verizon, so it’s most likely the signal and this house. The house is pretty level with most of the houses between it and the substation. Now with the outdoor antenna up at the peak, it must have a less obstructed view or maybe it’s able to connect with the 4G’s signal bounce. Whatever it is doing, I hope it continues to work and it will be forgotten about. It’ll just sit there doing its job while I enjoy the benefits from it. I’d recommend this to anyone that has a small/medium size room in their house that has difficulty connecting to their carrier's signal. There are larger kits available for the whole house if that fits your need. This small unit won’t do a complete house, but it will give you some help in a part of it.

Great way to get a better Cell Signal indoors
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want to strengthen your cell signal in a room or smaller part of your home/apartment then this is the device. Setup: It includes everything needed. I unboxed it and mounted the outdoor antenna. Then connected the coax cable and ran into the house. (60' of cable is included.) Then plugged provided repeater with antenna. This is where your almost done but have to do a little extra. In my case I went to Verizon and searched for "register signal booster Verizon". I logged into my Verizon account and had to input some of the information on the bottom of the repeater. Then I was done. Pro: Signal did increase from 2-3 bars to 4 bars (full Within same room Downloads went from 4.50 to 38.1 Mbps Within same room Uploads went from 1.60 to 1.66 Mbps Within 30' Downloads went from 1.7 to 21.4 Mbps Within same room Uploads went from .53 to 5.77 Mbps You do not need an separate internet connection for it to work Cons: The registration was a little tricky You need to play with where the antenna goes which can be confusing. The range in the home would be better if it could cover more square footage. In Summary, This is a great repeater that actually works. You just need to remember that there will need to be some signal outside or you will not have any signal to boost inside. Otherwise it helps having good cell service inside and if your internet goes out this still works. If you switch carriers this still works.

Now this is a product I can stand behind!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our house finally has signal in my home and not just 1 bar, we have 5 bars and LTE! This is by far the best product added in my home in a long time. Install did take a trip to the Hardware store and buying a pipe to put in the ground so I could mount the antennae on it and rotate it correctly. Buying the $10 piece of fence tubing and digging a hole was worth my time, 10000% I also purchased a box for the outside of the house to drill a hole though the wall and seal off the wring through the house properly and have it enter through the wall using the included adapter piece. It took a few minutes searching at the hardware store but they make a plate that the adapter snaps into and makes it work perfect as a pass though. All in all, the install was about an hour plus the trip to the store. . The call quality is amazing and clear now, not one dropped call in a week now. The MMS picture messages now send in seconds compared to minutes last week. Also, multiple phone calls do not make a difference, all calls on all devices are 10000% better on ALL carriers in our home and friends where really impressed. If you need a boost in your home, get the weBoost!

Easy way to boost a signal for a wonky room
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup is fairly easy and they recommend a pole, which I agree to make sure you can more easily adjust it to point at a cell tower. Once you find that good signal and are able to point towards it you can go to the races. Just need to run the cable into the house and plug the inside box into it. I got this to address cell drops when I'm in my home office in the basement, since I'm home more, I hate having to go upstairs to take calls. This really has boosted the signa, esp. since I had a strong signal everywhere else but there. If you are a home user with a dead spot in the house, but good to great outside like me this will definitely help boost you and improve the signal. I can now sit in my home office and not have to run around to take calls which makes things easier. Only hard part is looking up on your cell provider where to go register the booster for FCC reasons. Don't skip that step. The device is simple to setup, and routing the cable from outside to indoors wasn't bad for me and really improved the signal. Definitely the way to go.

Does what it supposed to but at a high price.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The weBoost - Home Studio by Wilson Electronics is one of their latest signal boosters that works with all carriers and 5G. This version is designed for large rooms /studio apartments ( at least in terms of size.) weBoost uses the same basic premise - an outside antenna that does not require any power that is connected via cable coaxial to a relatively unobtrusive inside antenna . The main antenna mounts to a poll outside. I live in an apartment and it fit perfectly on a terrace poll. When you first install the outside antenna, you should not tighten it completely because you will need to rotate it in the direction of nearest cell tower. I used the recommended app Opensignal to find the direction the cell tower. It worked perfectly and I was able to align the antenna relatively fast. I did not initially read the directions thoroughly enough and it states to only rotate the antenna an 1/8 of an inch at a time. I was moving it way too much and it was making the signal worse. Setting the antenna on the outside is the most important step and try trickiest. All told, it took me about an hour to install and configure everything. Unfortunately, I had to make it a temporary installation because I could not route the coaxial cable without cutting into a wall and ceiling. Because I live in an apartment, I am not permitted to do that. I could not route it through a window like some of the other kits because weBoost did not include a window entry cable. It is simply a flat cable that lets you connect two traditional sized cables through the bottom of the window. I cannot understand why they would not include this adapter when they include 60 feet of traditional cable. Very disappointing. I plan to order the window entry cable at a later time. This product was sent to me for no charge to review so that is why I am reviewing without the cable. There are not a lot of reviews for the weBoost - Home Studio but there are reviews of similar models. You will see there are some who had difficulty setting the antenna in the right spot for a signal increase. I really did not have any major issues in getting a better signal. My signal went from 2 to 3 bars to a consistent 5 bars. To be fair, I live in an area where there are a lot of cell towers and I have a direct line of sight to one. Your mileage may vary in that regard. One thing that is important to keep in mind, this is not going to cure for very weak signal strength. It will make it stronger but the weBoost - Home Studio needs something to work with. I like the weBoost - Home Studio overall but it does fall short by not including a simple window cable adapter. At a high price of $350, this should have included everything needed for an install. I still recommend it as I think Wilson Electronics makes the best signal boosters around.

Great Signal Booster
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tested this in my RV as well as at work inside an all metal building. In both situations it worked great. I went from averaging a -110db signal to -76db. Outside of my work my LTE signal is great but the construction of the building destroys the signal inside. While it did not necessarily boost my speeds above what I would normally achieve outside, it did allow me to maintain normal speeds inside the office. With the RV parked in a bit of a dead zone I was able to aim the antenna using the lights on the transmitter box and was able to greatly improve my service. I am very happy with the weBoost setup!

Added 2 bars
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Instantly gave the room 2 extra bars. Works Well
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife is a Lieutenant at a major metro fire department here in Colorado. She was recently transferred to a station that the officers quarters have universally low cell reception. When I saw the chance to get this, I figured I'd try it. Glad I did. Set up takes a little effort, but not too much. Any experience in running cables and you will be set. Once installed, her reception was noticeably better. End of the day, I would recommend this to a friend.

Help where you need it.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in the suburbs of NYC and my cell signal in my house is spotty at times. With working from home so prevalent now, I am on my cell phone more than I ever have been and need the best connection possible. Enter the weBoost. I installed the outdoor antenna on my chimney utilizing a cell tower locating app to be sure I was pointing the antenna in the right direction. Once the outdoor antenna was installed I ran the coax cable provided from the antenna into my house and connected it to the indoor signal booster. When first connected it was too close to the outdoor antenna as indicated by the signal lights on the booster. I added more cable and moved it further into the house. I noticed the difference right away. I was able to conduct a full days business on my cell phone with no dropped calls and no issues. The weBoost works with all carriers and all signals including 5G You do have to take the time to install the weBoost properly, but once you do the work is well worth it.

I can hear them now!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is actually my second weBoost booster and they are amazing. transitioning to working from home, I had to make a office in my basement and my cell signal is one bar at its best there. I was missing calls, dropping calls, and having to run to the back door in order to take a call without it dropping or the person not being able to hear me. Outside of the back door, I get 2-3 bars. I mounted the antenna to my deck and conveinantly ran the wire through the same hole that my cable wire runs in from. There are other mounting options they suggest in the instructions too but just screwing it into my deck gave it a secure spot and great service. I am happy to say I have 2-3 bars in my home office now without having to dart to the door to take a call. Complete game changer for the home office.

Mixed results for multiple carriers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We live in rural area with no cable or fiber, but medium to weak Verizon and at&t cell service, and very weak spotty TMobile. We use att hotspot but it's expensive and limited in data and speed. I hoped the booster would improve the signal and data speed. It did increase the signal by 1 bar but the speed did not. Then I tried TMobile and got three bars, but the speeds did not improve, which perplexed me. I also found my TMobile cell seemed to skip in and out of lte and signal strength. Cycling power sometimes helped, but we are going to use it for unattended periods when we couldn't do that. I think this booster might work for plain cell phone talk-text situations but am worried not for data intensive unattended applications.

Good Product - needs careful alignment to tower
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This device took my signal from a weak one bar to three bars after some work. The instructions are a little bit lacking because it instructs you to aim the antenna at a cell tower and then adjust using 1/8" turns and restarting (unplug/replug) the device. The better way is to use an app like OpenSignal (which is free) and aim the antenna with the alignment shown on the app. If the antenna is not pointed in the right direction the device will not work at all. Once the alignment is correct the signal should boost. IF you have zero signal this device will not help, you need a minimal signal to be able to boost. Overall I am satisfied with the result
