Webroot is completely compatible with Windows 8 and there is no issue that removes the internet. I believe the issues you are experiencing are due to a pre-existing infection on the computer.

With my most recent renewal, I typed the new code into both my computers like I have in the past, but this time it made both of them completely inoperable. After a lot of frustration I managed to re-install it on my Mac desktop and it seems to be working again. I still can't get it to work on my laptop (I had limited MBs to start with so I'm literally trying to delete files to make enough space to re-install it, but that is difficult when the software is making it so it won't even book). Even when I re-installed it on my Mac, It won't let me overwrite the old version so I have 2 versions of the same stupid program taking up space. Not sure what they did, but they have royally jacked this up. Disappointed. I assumed with the 1st computer, I had done something wrong, but the 2nd makes it clear it is a system issue and it has cost me HOURS of frustration and research. Avoid at all costs!!!
