When I purchased my new Windows laptop from Best Buy, it came with an unexpected bonus – a free Webroot Internet Security with Antivirus Protection subscription. While I appreciate the intention behind this promotional perk, my experience has been a mixed bag. Here's my take on Webroot Internet Security and how it has influenced my perspective on shopping at Best Buy. On a positive note, the complimentary Webroot Internet Security subscription added some value to my laptop purchase. The offer made me feel like Best Buy cared about my digital security and wanted to provide an added layer of protection for my new device. The installation process for Webroot Internet Security was relatively easy and straightforward. The lightweight software did not consume a significant amount of system resources, ensuring that my laptop's performance was not adversely affected. However, my experience with Webroot Internet Security was not entirely satisfying. I encountered some issues with the software's user interface, which I found to be somewhat outdated and less intuitive compared to other antivirus solutions I have used in the past. Additionally, I noticed that Webroot's virus and malware detection capabilities were not as comprehensive as those offered by some of its competitors. Despite these concerns, I appreciated the efforts of Best Buy's customer service team. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to address any questions or concerns I had about my Windows laptop and the Webroot Internet Security subscription. In summary, my experience with the Webroot Internet Security subscription bundled with my Windows laptop from Best Buy has been a mixed one. While I'm grateful for the added security layer, I believe there are areas where Webroot could improve.

Webroot provides very good internet security, Works fast, It really is the most lightweight antivirus that I have ever installed.

Installed it onto my new Lenovo laptop computer and it rebooted right up. Gives you an extra sense of security while surfing on the world wide web. And to top it off, got the version that can be installed on to a total of 3 devices

I have to give Best Buy yet another A+ for providing Webroot Secure Anywhere with some of its new PC purchases. This is one of the easiest to administer, most robust, and protective antivirus products I have seen - and, best of all, it is not a hog on resources, so things operate smoothly and cleanly. A terrific antivirus solution, and WELL-WORTH the money! The ability to perform full administration of your installs from the web console is another huge plus. LOVE IT! Bravo, hats-off to Best Buy!

Typical anti-virus. Does what it needs to do. Doesn't slow your computer down when running in the background. Easy to use and understand what the results are.

Top feature of this program is certainly the interface. You can know nothing about computer or security programs and would still find this to be an exceptionally easy to use program. With that said, there are advanced settings and options for those of you who know your way around a bit. I purchased the Internet Security ("IS") version of this, which also includes mobile support. On iOS this is just an app with a secured browser and your only add on for owning the IS version is that you have the saved passwords feature across all devices. I spoke with Geek Squad regarding the perks of the IS version versus the standard Antivirus version (which includes anti-malware on top of antivirus regardless of its name) and I discovered that the system optimization features (which essentially are a carbon copy of the CCleaner professional program) are exclusive to the IS version. This alone makes the jump from Antivirus to IS worth the slight difference in cash, regardless of whether you will use other features like mobile support and secure mobile web browsers. The program itself is amazing and can complete a full system scan in literally less than a minute. Cloud based software at its best.

First of all I would never pay for AV, I got this as a bonus for buying a PC. This is the best AV I have ever worked with. It works well, and you don't notice it at all. No pop-ups, no slowing down, no scans that destroy resources. If I were to buy AV it would be this no questions. I work in IT, DO NOT BUY MCAFEE OR NORTON. THEY ARE JUNK AND WILL TRASH YOUR PC'S RESOURCES FOR NO GAIN. If you want real AV software buy this or learn how to google and get free stuff.

Webroot Internet Security with Antivirus (up to 3 devices) (6 months subscription) works with Mac and Windows. The antivirus software is doing what it is supposed to, so far. I have no complaints about the product.

This antivirus software came bundled with my laptop purchase from Bestbuy. I have used it for a year and it has worked well. It stays in the background with active surveillance for viruses/malwares. Did not appear to be a system resource hog. The interface is easy to navigate. Overall a good software to use. Not sure how it compares to the big brands (ie Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky etc)

Have been using Webroot for many years now. Whenever I purchase a laptop I immediately try to uninstall the pre-installed package and then replace with Webroot. I have yet to encounter any viruses or Trojan horses on any of my laptops and I find Webroot easy to use and understand.

Unlike most other anti-virus softwares, this didn't slow my laptop and neither my laptop hang even once. It consumes low resources (RAM, CPU) while also protecting/securing the laptop. Great to have it used. Laptop runs super smooth. Also, indicates whether website to be visited is secured and authentic or not which makes it even better.

Have never had a virus or hacked as far as I can tell. Seems to work as described.
