We would advise giving it to someone that can use it if you decide not too. Webroot is compatible with other AVs though.
It begins counting down days from when you first receive it from best buy.

For the past 18 years we have purchased 5 computers, 2 external storage drives, 3 televisions, several MP3 players, headphones, cell phone covers and numerous other items. As for web root virus protector, we have never used any other brand for our computers... very happy and satisfied with web root.
