I bought the Webroot security software to protect my laptop , and i asked to get it online , they said check your e-mail in 2 hours-you will receive it by e-mail , ,i waited for the software but I didn't get it .after couple of days I got it by mail, I tried to download it , the keycode didn't work , I went to the store to return it at the customer service , they said its not returnable . I was mad for the bad experience and i had to dispute it to get my money back .

This antivirus is the best for a really good price. It protects my computers and tablets at home really good. It is for 6 months and it actually comes free with most computers at Best Buy. If you are searching for an antivirus, this installs really fast and doesn't even take up much space on your computer. I would suggest getting this besides something else!

This is not the first time I have used Webfoot internet security. I have read reviews in the past from all the usual entities (CNET, PC Mag, etc) and it always ranks up in the top 3-7. I have never had a problem with either the program or the viruses in the past. No antivirus is perfect (which is why I gave it 4 stars) when you have to ride the line between protection and affecting PC/LT performance but this one does a nice job.

I hadn't heard much about Webroot before now. When I bought my laptop through Best Buy, I was shocked at the bloat that was included by HP. It actually caused a small virus, that would cause pop-ups every time you clicked the mouse on the screen. I removed all bloat and unnecessary program files, and when I restarted, I installed Webroot. I thought I had gotten all the files out, but as soon as Webroot started, it found 2 files I had missed originally. We haven't had any problems since then, so I think this product is really worth the price you pay to keep your information safe. I will update my review if anything changes, but for the time being, I'm very happy with this product.

In the past I've used Norton Internet Security for the office desktops. Norton is widely respected, but it can really take over a computer. And did I mention it can take over a computer? Do I need to repeat it again? I've used it on several computers, and one time I had to remove it and reinstall it. Uninstall via the Windows Utility will not remove all traces of the program, and you must download a removal tool from the Norton site. After going through a lengthy phone call and waiting ... and waiting ... and waiting, I finally was able to do the deed.
Webroot was an experiment in broadening my horizons. I've had friends who've used other programs, and I've watched some crashes after they were used rather poorly. I researched into several Internet Security and Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware programs and made the decision to try Webroot.
Webroot was extremely easy to install, works quietly in the background, and is unobtrusive (hence my review summary). While Norton took F...O...R...E...V...E...R to run a scan, Webroot performed scans in a flash. I was almost in disbelief when I first ran it on this Asus laptop. It was so unexpectedly fast that ... I actually ran it again to see if it was a glitch! No kidding. I watched the file names as it was flashing them during the scanning and noted that Webroot is somewhat cloudbased for some of its analysis and protection.
You never have to worry about updating since it does it automatically. It has also already upgraded itself to a new version in the background in the time that I've been using it, and it notified me after the seamless upgrade installation.
This is another good product that I'll use again. It's been a surprisingly quick performer and it doesn't hog system resources the way Norton did. Oh, did I mention "Unobtrusive"? I thought so ... Heh heh heh ...

I run this on my macbook pro and then my iMac because I tend to do a lot of gaming which involves downloading mods.... and mod downloading tends to frighten me since the websites they come off of aren't always the most trustworthy. Since you have to give them extra permission in order to download anyway, I figured it'd be safest to not leave my mac's internal protections as the only barrier for viruses/malware.
So! Enter: Webroot.
I installed it on my computer a year ago and it did scans on my solid state drive in under 5 minutes, staying out of the way and not slowing down my computer at all. On my iMac with a non SSD, it does take 7-20 minutes.... but I more than quadrupled the number of files on the machine so that has something to do with it.
One time earlier this year I downloaded a mod that redirected me to a link and I didn't notice before I clicked and suddenly a uTorrent file got downloaded and wormed its way into my computer -- eek! But Webroot immediately popped up and asked if I wanted to quarantine the file, which I did, and then it removed it. I've scoured all my library folders and haven't found anything, and my daily scans don't catch anything else, so it appears that the program did its job.
Only complaint I have is that, at least on my iMac, every time I turn it on for the first time I get a popup asking to register my email address through Webroot.... which I did. I receive the emails already. But it wants me to add it every freaking time. I just close that particular window and it's no big deal but it is still a little annoying.

The price seems a little steep but I believe I need the security feature to try to ward off cyber-criminals. The turnaround time on the computer service itself was handled very quickly and competently. However, telephone assistance for advice on whether or not i should access a particular website was disappointing. I was advised "if it looks suspiscious, you probably shouldn't open in.

This program has been very good for me. On the computer I has before this one, the computer was taken over by someone that called me and said that they worked for Dell. I had not given out any of my information but the guy knew everything about me and wrecked that computer. This program has prevented anyone from getting into this computer. This guy has tried again as he has called me so this IS an awesome program to have. After my free year is up I will be purchasing it and keeping it as a protector for my computer.

The software is easy to install. The price is relatively reasonable in comparison to other brands. The computer does not slow down when the software is in operation. I have not had any problems with viruses since the installation.

Webroot operates seamlessly behind-the-scenes. Having gotten a single notification of virus or malware. So, it is either doing job or I'm headed towards major corruption! never used it before, so it is. All the reviews that I read seem to say its one of the best out there and that it does not bog down your machine.

Its a good security software that came free with my Yoga 11s, but I don't know if it would be worth the $50 if purchased separately. It does more than my AVG free version for sure and runs a little less power when idle, so if the extras are worth the money to you, then I would suggest Webroot.

Used many other programs over the years. None of them has been as good as Webroot. In fact, have used Webroot for going on 3 years now with my desktop and even smartphone. It has never failed to protect my equipment. Has no detectable affect on performance while keeping my equipment safe. It is only program of its kind that has never created a moment of doubt as far as keeping my world secure.

When I purchased the product I assumed it was for a year subscription, but when I loaded it and updated it the fine print said it was for only 6 months. I looked at the package again and nowhere on the packaged did it in fact state the length of the service. In fact the e-mail that invited me to do this survey said it was a one year subscription, if it was for a year it would be a good price for an otherwise great product. My computer loads must faster and does not get bogged down like other popular/recommended Anti-virus programs I have used. So far the product appears to be doing its job protecting my computer, I have had no issues.

Good virus protection for the money, works on three machines and so easy my mother in law could do it. It's a good product. This product did not come recommended by the salesman, that was another product which I have used as well and both are just as good. We went cheaper this time.

Doesn't have as many additional features as compared to others but since it specializes in internet security, it was blocking more malicious websites compared to other popular brands when I tested it. Easy to install and easy to use. Yes, it also has antivirus protection.
