    Challenging instructions - made to think this would work on my circuit given the presence of wires, but this was incorrect. BestBuy of course was fantastic in handling the return.

    As usual, Belkin Smart switches are easy to install and set up. They work flawlessly with both Alexa and Google Home. As with most smart switches, you need to make sure you have a neutral in the switch box before attempting to install these. The toughest part of installation is getting all the wires and wire nuts back into the switch box after you wire it all up. But this seems to be a common issue with every smart switch I've installed across a number of vendors. Great thing about this 2-pack is that each 3-way circuit only needs 1 switch, so you can make 2, 3-way circuits smart with this 2-pack. Physical appearance of the switch is also very clean and sharp and will most likely look much nicer than the switch your are replacing. Overall a great product and a great value since you can upgrade 2 circuits.

    Was glitchy and did not work as intended. I have a new house and the switch was delayed in turning on the lights and the dimmer was off.

    I already have several WeMo outlet plugs and I love how easy they were to set up and use. Plus, the WeMo mobile app has a good selection of rules and integrations. The good news is this 3-way smart switch also has a nice set of features. The bad news is it was very frustrating to install and set up, unlike the WeMo outlet plugs. To start, this was the first time I’ve ever replaced a light switch. The instructions provided seem simple, but they assume you know something about wiring. The biggest assumption is that you know which wire in your wall switch is line power (eg, power coming to the switch), and which is the load (eg, power going to the light). They are typically both black. For a newbie, it’s confusing. To identify which of the two black lines is line, it helps to have a voltage tester. Once you identify the line power, WeMo provides a sticker with the words “line/load” to wrap around the line wire – why the sticker doesn’t just say “line” makes no sense to me, but I’m sure those who know about wiring will have an answer. None of this is difficult to learn if you’re willing to Google a few things and buy a voltage tester. Once the line wire is identified, it’s a pretty easy install. From there, however, setting up the WeMo 3-way switch was black art. The main issue I ran into was every time I tried to connect my iPhone to the switch’s wifi network, Apple Homekit would try to install it as a new device instead of allowing my iPhone to connect to it as a wifi hotspot. And every time Homekit would try to add it as a new device, I got different errors. Sometimes it would say the device is incompatible with my router, most of the times it would simply not find the device, and a few times it just kept trying without end. I followed the instructions and did factory resets several times on the WeMo, and rebooted my phone as well. Finally I got fed up, and since it was dinner time, went out and got some tacos. After dinner, I came back and tried the set up again and, magically, it worked! Once installed and set up, the WeMo app controls the switch using rules, timers or away mode. The switch also has a clever rule called “long press.” When you keep the switch pressed for 2 seconds, the switch will control a single group of WeMo switches and plugs that you define. The rule enables you to toggle all devices in the group, or turn them on, or turn them off, or set them to Away Mode which randomly turns them on and off to imitate people are in the house. If you’re a newbie and willing to learn a few wiring basics, then this is a good switch, especially if you eat tacos.

    While I love the new design (very sleek), I do hate that they changed it from the old switches. I've got other Wemo switches in my house but now have two different designs; I'm not about to replace them all with this new style. This new design has much more accessible reset/reboot buttons on the switches themselves which is a very welcome addition. The bonus of this particular item is that, while it worked perfectly in a tri-pole installation by simply following the instructions, these will also work as two single-pole switches. This effectively makes this a 2-pack of switches for the price, that could also be a tri-pole if you so choose! Operation and installation are, of course, simple and easy as you expect from Wemo. Keep in mind that these, as with most wifi switches, do take up significantly more space in the junction box for your switches.

    I could not use until I moved to a newer home with a 'c' wire connection (3 wire). Use them for my ceiling fans and work fine.

    I purchased a 2 pack of 3 way switches and a single pole. Single pole and 1st 3 way installed perfectly and no problems since. However, I installed the second 3 way this weekend and it absolutely refused to connect to my WiFi. I googled troubleshooting solutions and downgraded my router to 2.4, reinstalled it 3 times, turned the breaker off, tried to reset it, downloaded the latest software for my iPhone and it still won’t connect to my WiFi. The first 3 way is already installed and I’m outside the return policy for Best Buy. I called Wemo and after redoing all the troubleshooting and being in the phone with them for 45 minutes they told me to go to Best Buy and have them replace it. If you buy a 2 pack I suggest you install them immediately so you can return one of it doesn’t work or just buy one at a time. I lost over 4 hours of my weekend and will finish installing the rest of my smart switches in my house with a different brand. I’m just glad I didn’t pay an electrician as I would be out even more money for this switch.

    I bought the pair as they don't need both switches in a 3-way circuit. It works nearly every time with the I-phone and Alexa WHEN in Wi-Fi range. However,it rarely works with the phone when out of Wi-Fi range. In other words, when it would be most useful. Probably too late to return them as 1 is installed. Looking at other reviews, it doesn't work well for the majority of users. Wish I'd researched further.
