    Great product easy install. My only complaint is I have a at&t HTC one m7 and the app hates my phone. I spent a hour trying to do the initial setup on my phone and it just wasn't finding it. Grabbed my kids Samsung galaxy tab 3 7.0 and it instantly found it and was able to set it up. Once setup works ok on my one, but changing rules is like pulling teeth from a kid. Again I have to turn to the tablet to change rules. But checking it and turning on/off from phone no worries. Instructions need work as well. Wasn't clear on how to set rules I just found it. And when doing initial setup I couldn't find anything to help me, I only grabbed the tablet out of frustration and desperation.

    Will not work in series with other light switches

    WeMo Light Switch by Belkin Will not work in series with other light switches. I have 2 light switches in the outlet box. One controls the hall ceiling light and the 2nd one my porch light. The WeMo is in the 2nd position. The 2nd light switch gets its power by connecting to a screw on the 1st switch, which I call being in series. When I did connections as the original 2 light switches the WeMo just didn't work. I tried various combinations of wiring with negative results. I might try hiring an electrician or maybe the Geek Squad but for just one switch this would be an incredibly expensive connection.

      As long as the outlet have a switch (live/load) wire and is a single-pole circuit, then the Wemo Light Switch should work without a hitch. Consulting a professional electrician is recommended.     Occasional glitches but great overall

    This will actually be the 2nd of these switches that I've bought. Installation is pretty easy and straight forward if you have any handyman experience. Programming the first one was a bit of a challenge, but I believe that was an issue of the instructions and a bit of inexperience and over anxiousness on my part. I haven't checked that on this one yet. Occasionally the first switch will seem to lose track of the wifi, but it has always come around again. I will have to see if the same happens with this new switch.

    This device works very well. It was relatively easy yo install but you do need some patience. To connect to my phone I had to turn off all other data connections including data over the phone.network and remove any active wifi connections. Otherwise the phone.would connect.to the WeMo but disconnect and select.another connection that had internet access. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is because it will not support 2 way switches. I did find a way around.this by keeping the second switch always in on position. Otherwise the WeMo works great. I love the ability to use my phone to control as well as making.simple rules with the ap. Works great !

    Takes a week to reset after firmware update.

    Annoyingly (almost) useless. Every time they make a firmware update, it takes over a week for it to reconnect. I've gone through 5 firmware updates in the past 6 months and each time I consider a new product. I've tried contacting support, but every time I do, they ask me to walk through the same exact steps as the previous person and then they say they'll move the ticket up to the next level and I stop hearing back. I consider this to be a faulty product with zero valid tech support. They didn't even offer to replace it. This will end my support of any belkin device. I'm done.

    My wife kept on leavin the lights on in the house for the day when no one was home. I purchased a few of the WeMo wall switches and all my problems are now solved. When your using the WeMo App. on your phone it will show you if a light is on or off. You can also set up custom timers to make the lights go on or off. I have all the light going off at a certain time in the house just incase my wife forgets again. I have the two porch lights set up to go on at sunset and off 1.5 hours before sunrise.

    Bought this switch for use with Alexa, and was easy to set up. nice feature is that you will always have remote access to what ever this switch controls. nice for when you are on a trip and just want to turn the porch light (for example) on or off from any ware that you have access to the internet. also can be used to set up scenes (turn lights off and turn TV on for a movie) , all types of ways these switches can be set up. I think they are worth the money, I ended up purchasing 8 of these for my house. Also tech support for me was A++. they took their time and solved an issue I was having and never rushed me.

    Instead of getting an expensive coffee pot with a timer, or a Wemo enabled coffee pot, I bought one of these and a $15 Mr. Coffee pot, set it to my Alexa morning routine, and it works great. You need to use a coffee pot that has a toggle switch so it's always "on" and no matter how often I ask, Alexa will still not load the water or grind the beans. Or throw away the filters or clean the machine. Wow, making coffee is a lot of work, it's tiring me out just thinking about it. I think I need a cup of coffee.

    This thing looks nice on the wall! it was fairly easy to set up and easy to follow the instructions. The button clicks instead of rocks, which I was unaware of but it hasn't been a problem. It was just something to get use to, having rocking switches everywhere else. Integration with the cell phone (I use Android) was quite easy and it is very responsive. Some reviews I read said there was some lag from turning on and off from your cell phone, but that may be because those individuals have a bad connection to their internet. Will definitely be buying more of these to put around the house.

    Not compatible with 3-way lights

    I had to return this to Best Buy as the very small print on the side of the box indicates it only works with single pole switches. It you have a 3-way switch then this will not work. There is a similar device that provides similar functions but does not connect to the Internet. The Leviton Vizia+ switch is compatible with either single pole or 3-way (with mandatory matching switch for the other location) that can be programmed to turn lights on at sundown and off at sunrise, or any other specific times if desired. Must enter the latitude and longitude of your location but Leviton provides a link to a site that provides that data.

    These are a great way of automating lights throughout the house. They are easy to install and set up if you know a little about installing electrical outlets and switches. Once installed the setup is easy as long as your wi-fi network is set up "correctly" (the wemo has some limitations for network names and passwords). Setting up rules for when the lights turn on and off is also easy through the wemo app. The only downside to these switches is that the rules are pretty limited and they can only be set up using a smartphone app (no computers or tablets). I'm sure that sooner or later Belkin will get around to fixing both those issues.

    I have about 10 of these in my kids rooms. My kids favorite thing to do is leave their lights on so I replaced all the switches in their rooms, closets, and bathrooms (including the fan). I have had success using the wemo app to set schedules and timers for the lights so that the lights turn off from a timer depending on what time of the day it is. I have a strong wifi signal in each room so I haven't had any issues with the light switch disconnection from the wifi. I would go 5 stars but they don't have a motion detection option and they don't work on dimmers. Other than that they have been great.

    Great simple wifi-connected switch. Using it for the front porch and using the WeMo app, I have set it to come on at sunset and off at sunrise. Works perfectly. Wish it integrated with Apple's HomeKit. Other WeMo produces have integrated and presumably they'll update this switch, too, in the future, but it's not there yet. I've gotten Lutron Caseta switches and dimmers for other light fixtures so that I can set automations with HomeKit (turn kitchen lights on when arriving home, etc.)

    For any smart home there are some electrical circuits that can only be accessed by a switch. This is the one for me, easy to install, very easy. Great quality and the packaging shows a true attention to detail. The switch is very easy to pair with the app and then with the echo dot. As part of a group we can access the switch alone or with an entire set of smart plugs, switches etc. The switch itself as a manual instrument is a push once on and push again off. So easy to buy, install, pair and operate it is hands down the must have for a smart home installation.

    I have 2 of these to control various lights around the house. It is working fairly well integrated with smartthings. The only downfall to the setup is smartthings occasionally losing contact with the switches. That said the wemo app always sees them. If you are looking for a wifi solution as I was these are a great find. Make sure you check for a neutral wire in your switch box before installing, no neutral, no work. Docking one star as the switch gets noticeably warm. Both of mine do this and research say it is the wireless chipset and it is completely normal.

    I use this switch for our porch lights, and set it to turn on a little before dusk, and turn off a little after sunrise. Did that when I bought it and haven't looked at it since. It keeps track of the seasonal changes perfectly, needing little to no maintenance except an occasional firmware update. Installation space is tight, as the device is a little bulky in the electrical box, but they have all installed fine. Would give it a five star if it worked naively with Home Kit, but it does work great with Alexa.

    I have two of these installed in my home to control my outdoor lights. One for outdoor porch sconces and the other for a receptacle that is currently powering my christmas lights. I can program each switch individually to operate at different times of the day. Set up can be a bit tricky but once you get used to the app it becomes a piece of cake. The only knock on these switches are twofold. One it will not work on a 3 way switch system and two it does not dim lights. Other than that it works very well and if they ever decide to produce higher amperage switches you could use these for more demanding loads.

    It's a great idea. The physical switch works without problems, but my old one did that as well! The App is buggy if you use rules. For example, you can set a rule to turn lights on at Sunset and off at Sunrise, just what I needed for my outside lights! I set 2 switches with this rule...they come on & go off at different times by at least 1 hour! Customer support advises starting over and resetting them until it works! I did this and now the one that was correct is wrong and the other one is at the right time. (I gave up) Really needs better support in the form of a functioning App and customer support that gives usable advise.

    I have had the switch for a few weeks now and it has worked reliably. I just about never touch the switch itself. It mostly runs on the schedule or I control it remotely via my iPhone. It also allows me to give the place a lived in look when I'm not home. The only issue I've had with it is the interference to my television. I have to keep the television on my kitchen counter at least a foot away from it or the picture breaks up. The device obviously puts out a significant amount of RF. I could see it causing potential problems with other wireless devices at those levels though I have yet to find anything else to blame on it.

    I'm nowhere close to being an electrician but this was very easy to install. Works great! My only issue is that I installed it not thinking about the fact that I could turn this particular group of lights on/off with 3 different switches in the house. That being said, if my husband or daughter flip one of those other switches, Alexa can no longer control the shut off. You have to actually flip that switch again to make it work again. WeMo brand is great though! And I'm hoping they'll figure out a way to make switches that will work for double switches instead of just single.
