Subpar picture quality and subpar controls

I returned this TV after owning it for two days. I would have returned it after one day but the store near me isn't open on Sunday. Black levels are poor which means that colors don't have good pop unless you over-saturate them, which is what this TV does out of the box. Compounding this problem is the rapid loss of contrast when the TV is viewed off-axis. The TV also reflects too much light, although most TVs this size seem to suffer from the same problem. The controls are also wanting. There is no backlight control - every other recent model TV that I'm aware of has one. There are also no numbers for the settings on the control panel - again something I've not seen on any other TV. Even at its price of $90, this TV is not a good value. The cheapest 24" Insignia is now priced at $80 and has noticeably better picture quality. I know because I purchased the Insignia after returning this model.

I was trying to hook up an older DVD/VHS recorder- player to a new Westinghouse. LED HD tv. I have a roof annetenna so I only get local stations. Even with all their smarts- the geek squad could not tell me how to hook up two incompatible systems. No fault of theirs. It is a shame that manufacturers have disregarded the needs of people who have older functioning equipment- so that when my old tv died- there is no way to connect it to a new tv to watch my dvd's and VHS tapes. I am deaf- and need a tv that will read close caption dvd's and the newer subtitled ones. Portable DVD players do not play cc. So this is a disservice to the deaf community! Hoping somehow to get an old tv hooked up so I can watch the cc dvd's Along with watching current programs on my new Westinghouse screen that connects to my roof annenta. Any advice would be helpful! Thank you!

Great picture, respectable sound and adequate inputs are the standout features here. A nice sized remote and full controls on-board are a definite plus too. All too easy to unbox & set-up. Adding my new antenna & new DVD player was equally easy. All this for a mere $69.99 + tax. While sound is respectable it is a bit unusual from others and while enough inputs are here for me, it does only have 1 HDMI input, sorta basic. But for under $75 after taxes these are really incredibly minor. Overall this is a great value. That it's from a recognizable brand like Westinghouse is just the icing on the cake.

TV is of an exceptional quality for having only paid $80.00, however was disappointed to get it home and unboxed only to find it didn't come with the leg stands, screws, user manual, and remote. I returned to the store to replace it with another only to find several others came without accessories as well. Finally after driving across town I was able to locate one that had all of it's accessories. So aside from being extremely inconvenienced for several hours, the purchase has been a worthy one. Just check the box if it's a Westinghouse.

I love this small tv ( by today’s standards.) How big does a tv need to be? I don’t want to walk into a room and have the tv the focal point. I add on a beautiful room, floor to ceiling windows, lots of plants, a conservatory feel, but wanted a tv in the room. This is perfect. Not only was it a good price but reception is great with an antenna also very reasonably priced from Best Buy. All for under &100. I love it! You will too.

The first one I picked up appeared to have sustained damage at the factory, as I discovered that the border was dented once I unpacked the unit. I returned for an even exchange (which took quite awhile, since they had to "run diagnostics" on the damaged item), but the second television was fine and works just great. I would rate this with five stars if I hadn't had to deal with a damaged unit.

This TV has good video and audio output. It's easy to program. I purchased a Roku stick to go with it and it fits well onto the HDMI and USB ports. It's also easy to scan for channels if you have an antenna. My only disappointment is that the USB playing videos from a memory stick will only accept mjpeg formatted movies. The TV is thin and lightweight, which makes it perfect for my RV.

Yes, it has minimum inputs and it is not 1080P and the sound needs help, but it was under $70. Hooked up to a pair of Best Buy rabbit ears ($7.99), it scanned over 30 channels, some clearer than my cable box. Plug in an amazon Fire stick and connect the audio out to a 1970's receiver and I still can't believe it. It sits on a dresser in a bedroom sans cable.

The remote has a mind of its own, and refuses to work at times, in spite of removing and replacing the batteries several times. I returned it to customer service at the store, and of course the problem didn't show itself. For an inexpensive unit, I would go with the Insignia brand that I purchased from Best Buy before, and not this Westinghouse.

This is a good little TV. The picture quality is good and you can use it without cable if you scan in over the air channels using a HD antenna. One thing I'd improve is more HDMI inputs. This one only has one. But if that's not important and you only need to connect one HDMI thing (cable box, Blu-ray, etc.), then I'd definitely recommend this TV.

I purchased this TV because it was a replacement for a smaller tv. It is a great little tv for the price. It has all of the features that you need to play video games, or connect a Blu-ray played and watch movies. What else can I say that the product info doesn't. Just buy it, it's a great little tv!!!

I bought this tv to replace a computer monitor that was broken, and it has worked great. unlike other systems, it can go to sleep and wake-up without having to turn the monitor on and off, and it was much cheaper (for the size) than a standard monitor. plus i was able to make it work at a higher resolution than planned

The legs are a little tricky with stability, however, that could've been my own crude assembly of them lacking a screwdriver at the time. The resolution goes higher than advertised, making it a great value purchase for brand new at $69.99. If you find it on sale at best buy, definitely look into buying it if your budget allows you to!

Added a new LG TV to the Living Room for my in-laws. Easy to install and easy to operate. Initially was irritated by the voice assistant so turned that off quickly, but from there smooth sailing. GREAT Picture quality and audio is more than ample for listening throughout the room. In-laws are happy, so I'm happy!

Was looking to replace my old tube tv in the kitchen and got this on a deal of the day. Was hesitant due to an old office I worked in having a Westinghouse TV that had a bad picture, but that was 6 years ago. I guess they got better. Works great so far!

TV has a kind of fuzzy look to it, but i'm sure that's because of the 720p quality. I just use this as a computer monitor and it does the job. If you're looking for quality, maybe not pick this one. If you want an extra screen for cheap then this will work out fine.

This inexpensive little TV has great picture quality for the price. the sound is not good at all if you are planning on using the incorporated speakers but if you are going to run an external speaker or speaker system, no problem.

Paid $80 on sale. The picture is good and sharp, but you need to pretty much watch it straigh, head on. I would have bought the Insignia,at the same price. It's a better tv, from experience, but the stand was too wide apart for the area to fit.
