I purchased this T.V as a gift for my mom last year when it was brand new, I got an amazing deal $99 shipped with Best buys black Friday deal and it was worth every penny just to see the look and excitement on my moms face at getting gifted something of this magnitude and she no longer had to worry about where to get the money for a new one, also I want to mention we have a Westing house 26" T.V in the living room my grandmother bought us at least 7 years ago and it still in working condition. As far as specs go this T.V has a 32" screen which is perfect for smaller bedrooms or the living area, or in our case small apartments. It came with a manual of course, though honestly it was so easy to put together and set up I didnt even look at the guide once, also it came with the stand which works but I would have liked if it wasn't so wide because it takes up a lot more space with it than this slim model tv needs but overall its sturdy and works well. This Westinghouse also comes with ports for HDMI cables, connections to gamming systems and more. It does have build in speakers which are 16 watt and allow for good sound quality. The picture quality is crisp, clear and quality. It also has WIFI capabilities and has some preloaded apps such as Netflix, the weather app and more. Most importantly beside quality is that this tv is energy star certified helping the environment and you electric bill, yay!

    “Smart” options limited

I ordered this tv on Black Friday for $99. It is an okay tv for that price. However, if you are spending $150, I wouldn’t recommend it. As others mention, it is slow to respond. My biggest complaint though is that the “smart” options are basically limited to Netflix. There is no Hulu or Amazon Prime and you can’t download those apps. If you’re dependent on streaming services (like I am), this isn’t the tv for you unless you have a Fire stick or similar.

Bought this TV for the basement. Happy with it. The picure is good and can watch You Tube etc. There are a couple of apps that I have not been able to work yet, but other than that a very good value for the money.

This Tv is decent enough for $99 Black Friday. 720p. Be aware that this may not fit on the stand your old one fit on. I see it is now common, as with this one, to have feet spread the distance of the TV vs the center support.

Purchased it in 2018 and its still going strong. I brought a Hisense after this one and it already needs fixing, its gotten dim on me.But not my Westinghouse. I strongly recommend this tv brand.

TV crashed less than a week after purchase

I purchased this TV as a Christmas gift for my 5 year old son. Upon opening it to set everything up, I learned that the remote was defective. I had to press the buttons several times to get a response. And even after getting the remote to respond, it was completely opposite of the button I pressed. There were buttons on the TV, however, because this was my first time using the TV I had to enter wifi passwords (which were a pain using the buttons on the TV, and netflix login information (which could not be entered using the TV buttons so I had to fight with the remote. Because of this, set up took several hours. After finally getting logged in the TV worked nicely. I contacted Westinghouse customer service to obtain a replacement remote and was told it would take 7 days to process my request which was quite disappointing. I had to e-mail my receipt and a pic of the back of the TV. After 6 days with no response went by, I called Westinghouse to check on my replacement remote. I was informed that my receipt was unacceptable. I purchased this TV online at bestbuy.com and my receipt didn't list my payment method. It was no problem logging in and getting this information to them, however, it was extremely frustrating and disappointing that almost an entire week went by and Westinghouse failed to mention this. Over the course of the week I waited on the remote I started to notice that the TV continuously turned on by itself. Initially, I thought my son was turning the TV on, but when the issue continued while he was away at school I realized the TV had bigger issues. I unplugged the TV in an attempt to reset it and the issue persisted. Further, none of the smart options were working (such as Netflix, YouTube, Pandora). The TV told me the Netflix servers were down, however, I was able to access Netflix just fine from other TV's. Again, I contacted Westinghouse and was advised that the TV was defective and that I needed it to take it back to the store. I was informed that if I had to return the TV directly to Westinghouse that I would be responsible for all shipping fees. Luckily I was still within my 15 day return period at Best Buy or I would have incurred additional fees to try and get a problem that was not my fault remedied. My receipt reflected that this was a BRAND NEW item, so the fact that Westinghouse was unwilling to cover shipping fees is indicative of HORRIBLE customer service. As a result, I did take the TV back to Best Buy but decided I did not want the headache of dealing with a company with such poor customer service that punishes the consumer for their defective products. This was my first & LAST westinghouse product. I ended up purchasing a 32 in. Smart/Roku Insignia television from Best Buy and my son and I LOVE it!

I needed a bedroom TV and first tried a Samsung, but the optical/digital sound output is not a good fit for headphones. I returned the Samsung and bought this Westinghouse. It has a headphone jack that works fine. Picture is very good. I'm satisfied.

We bought 2 of these TVs for our kids for Christmas thinking they'd be ok for all intents and purposes since we'd heard of the Westinghouse brand before. They're not. They're super slow to respond to the remotes, they forget the Wi-Fi info and it has to be reset nearly every time the TVs are turned on, the cords are ridiculously short, they freeze up a lot. NOT happy with them at ALL. Wish we'd have gone with a better brand, but the boxes were thrown away, so we're stuck with these.

The problem might be my mechanical incompetence, but, no, it a disregard for design on the part of the manufacturer. The screws that attach the feet onto the tv do not fit so the tv wobbles and is in danger of tipping over. Also, instead of one stand in the center, which would allow more options, there are two (ill fitting) feet, which means one has to find a large stand. On the positive, it appears so far, to work well and the smart tv connected easily to netflix. I haven't set up the DVE player and am not optimistic tho there are suppose to be 3 hdmi ports because really, design means never having to glue gun random parts together. Sony and Samsung probably obsess over details like screws so even their dumbest customer can assemble their products.
