This tv is awesome. Just as good as any other name brand tv. Do not use the energy saving setting or the picture looks awful, lol other than that it's awesome! Great sound, great picture, great purchase!

Sound is ok, but all flat screen tvs need something when it comes to sound. I hooked a computer sub woofer and speakers to it, sounds great now! The remote leaves a little to be desired but I only really use it to switch sources. I love the analog inputs as well as the hdmi. I've got a PS3, VCR/DVD player, cable, Wii, PS2, and my old desktop computer (via vga) hooked up to it. And the computer sub and speakers hooked in thru the headphone jack. Picture is fantastic, you do have to play around with it a little to find out which setting is best for which source you are running at the time, but all in all it works great with every device I've got going into it! It would be nice if you could rename the sources (PS3 instead of hdmi-2, etc.) But all in all, an 50" HD TV with all the inputs that you could need for only $299??? This is a fantastic deal I'm 100% satisfied with my purchase and I opted for the geek squad protection for $39.99 just in case... Worth it!!!

This is one great TV for the money. It came well packed for shipping. The screen was very well protected. I don't watch too much TV, but wanted something nice and fairly large to play my games, watch blu-rays etc. This does the trick and for a great price - speakers sound really nice too. Im very pleased.

I did a little of research on larger tvs under $300 and found this and a few others. After reading the reviews and liking the price I decided on this tv. I went to Best Buy to buy the tv and the staff was very helpful and quick. It only took 15 minutes in the store to get help, the tv, checkout, and get it loaded in the SUV. This tv has wonderful picture quality, it's beautiful, thin, and sleek, easy to set up, and has great sound. I tinkered with the settings a little and it improved the sound and picture color but they were great out of the box as well. So pleased with this TV and can't believe I got it for $250. 5 stars.

I was hesitant to get this tv because it's a westinghouse. The guy on the phone gave me a deal because of an issue I had ordering during black friday sales. I tried to change it once I realized it was a westinghouse. I can't compare it to other tv's because Ive never owned a 50 inch of another brand but the tv itself is good. The picture quality is good and I dont know why people are complaining about the sound. Most people who take a look at it say the picture is really good. I would recommend it because it seems to be getting compliments

I bought 2 of these for my son n laws barber shop. Not only was the pricing and delivery outstanding, but the picture on this screen is amazing!

Overall, this is quite possibly the best TV you can find in it's price range, from all currently being sold. It is good in all areas, however there are 2 factors that made me decide to rate it 4 stars, rather than 5. First, is the sound. As with most modern TVs, the sound is somewhat puny and quickly becomes distorted when raised to a high volume level. Unless you live in a very quiet home, you can expect that you will need to pair a sound bar or home theater system with this TV. Second, is the picture settings. While the picture can be made to look absolutely brilliant, it does require tinkering with the settings. For someone unfamiliar with the process of fine tuning the color, this can be somewhat overwhelming and time consuming. In the end, I will say that this was without question, the best TV for the money, I have found so far. As long as Best Buy carries deals like this, they will continue to receive my business.

This TV is large, clear, and very light weight, making it easy to mount on the wall. I have no complaints about the picture and everything has worked great so far. It works well with our Roku and has enough HDMI slots to plug in all the devices we want to use with it. That being said, if I wanted to hook up our older Wii to it, we couldn't since it does not have component RCA inputs or outputs. In fact, I had to connect my soundbar via the headphone jack slot. It also has been inconsistent in receiver's ability to pick up over the air stations - but there could be other reasons for this inconsistency as well. Overall, for $230 it is a great buy and it works very well for our purposes. But make sure you know what you want to hook up to it before you buy. If they have old style component RCA cables, you will not be able to do it without an adapter of some sort.

The TV has a great picture, great energy efficiency,looks nice and slim.

Picture was clear, sound is good, easy to hook up! New in box not refurbished. i thin it was an excellent set for the price and it was very light and easy to carry and set up in a wall mount. No problems here! Extremely happy with my purchase!

This tv is very friendly user with nice picture quality. However, you will need to connect your surround sound to get the best sound quality. Overall, it looks great on my wall and I think its an exceptional buy.

Sound is ok remote doesn't work well picture is good

I already own a Westinghouse 40", so inward going into this with eyes open. The screen is great, with vibrant colors and sharp contrast. Easy set up and practically fool proof. The sound, on the other hand, is not so great. I have it set up, in a small tv room, so it doesn't bother me much. But is this is going to be part of an entertainment center or in a bigger room, a soundbar will be a necessity.
