great tv on the bedroom wall.I don't kown why other reviews say the sounds not good mine is to loud.the picture is great right out of the box.the remote could be better i thing the tv doesn't see it.

Loving the picture and color on my fabulous television!

Was looking for a new to after one of the ribbons on my 8 yr old LG went bad, and saw this one in store. Didn't need something huge or "smart" as I only really watch live sports. The price was right as compared to others. For the same price I would've gotten a much smaller Samsung or LG. Setup was simple, sound is just alright, but it's just ok on any led tv anyways, plus I have a soundbar. Staff was friendly and didn't try to upswell me on something i didn't want. Overall this tv is great for the price.

I purchased 2 of these televisions. They were a great price. The setup was easy and the picture is really good.

Black Friday deal. $229 for a 50" you can't beat that. Decent picture with good sound and decent volume. Using in our master bedroom which is 400 sq/ft so it needs to have good speakers to fill that size room. No complaints except power LED shines pretty bright and is a little distracting while watching. Overall a solid TV.

Love the video display; vivid clarity. Sound is excellent as well.

I am very pleased with my 50" Westinghouse HDTV. I bought it because I sometimes need to use closed captioning because my hearing is not the best, and I need to consider my neighbors late at night. The closed caption feature on my smaller TV was too difficult to read. Since neither my hearing nor my eyesight is likely to improve, I began looking for a bargain in a bigger screen TV. With a price under $500 and free shipping, this TV was the perfect choice for me. I'm a happy Grandma now!

Bought this for my husband for last Christmas, use daily and still works great. Decent picture

I have a 32 inch Westinghouse that has performed well, so thought I would give this TV a try. After 20 or so days of use, so far, so good. The sound quality issue some others have noted is noticeable. But after some use you will get used to it. Picture quality is fine. I had an older Pioneer plasma TV next to this set and unless you are a complete videophile, the difference is negligible.

The picture quality is excellent for this price point. Even the sound quality is acceptable... Small nagging things: when turned off, there is a permanent red light on the red bottom side of the TV. The remote needs to be pointed precisely at the light at the red bottom side. Setup does not allow the use of both external and internal speakers at the same time

Was so happy to shop on line at Best Buy for our very First flat screen TV! We had thought all along we would have to settle for 39" or smaller. Found this beautiful 50" for less than those!! Very impressed with the picture and sound!! Easy to set up! Easy to connect other devices. 3 hdmi connections, usb, and lots more!! VERY HAPPY!!

Honestly, Westinghouse has a bad rep for customer service, but if you buy the TV through Best Buy and get their warranty then that basically solves the problem. The TV is incredibly cheap for the size and quality and if it ever breaks than I take it to Best Buy, no problem! I would recommend this route in a heartbeat.

Awesome 50" flatscreen for the money. Picture is pretty good and can be seen from all angles. Sound quality is pretty good but doesn't matter because it is hooked up to 20 yr old surround system that still works great. Easy,easy set up. Plus 5 yr warranty all for under 300 bucks. Can't beat it . Awesome and thanks .

After my old LG Plasma TV broke down I was in a pinch to get a new TV. I seen this on sale at Best Buy for 279.99 and went to pick it up right away. Re-install was extremely easy, my brackets fit and mounted with ease and I had the TV up on the wall and working in less than an hour from walking out of the store. Picture is great. Only Con is the audio is a little bit thinner than I expected for a 50" TV. It could produce a little more on the low end and the tv would be perfect. Reccomend setting your audio to surround mode as it sounds a little thin in stereo mode right out of the box. For this reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 but otherwise the tv is perfect in every way.
