This TV has a great picture for $200.00 however you only get 7 apps and no more. I just installed my firestick to get all needed apps. Just purchase a streaming stick and you're in business. I used my old stick from my old TV.

    The Specs For the Budget

Thankfully, my TV arrived right to my doorstep, undamaged, not abused, and inside another box so that the neighbors and passerbys couldn't tell if it was another type of TV. The set is lighter than my 55" from 2008, but I believe that is due to materiales and build quality. First off, I've not experienced any problems. It turned on; all of the device interface/inputs work; my network saw it; no BIOS/fw updates out of the box; remote has no issues. The picture - there is a lot to want when it comes to the blacks being grey. The colors are not too muted. Blu-ray and XBOX look great. Just what I needed for the children to watch movies and play games. The sound - not bright. Very flat. This is from the TV itself. Thankfully, there is an optical out port that I connected to my home theater. I still don't have a receiver that can utilize the HDMI ARC. The interface - the remote is really functional so that you don't have to go deep diving in all the menus to change some of the settings. Also, the buttons are nice and soft and the IR range is adequate. The on-screen menus are basic, kind of intuitive, meaning that the options are relatively categorized well. It's not an Android device so there is no "Play" store apps. I haven't even bothered, though, thanks to my Fire TV and Chromecast and whatever other apps run from our XBOX. Ultimately, I'm sorry I didn't pickup another one at this price point during BF. I would have loved to surprise a family member with it.

I don't get how anyone could rate this TV at 5 stars. As far as TV's go its pretty run of the mill average. Nothing is fantastic about the picture, it is 4k but at the low end of the spectrum of quality. The sound isn't terrible, but its bad enough to get a speaker bar to replace it. The UI and options are abysmal and the app selection is pretty much only what was advertised. The remote is decent. But for what I paid, $200, it's about worth that. I would definitely recommend it as a budget tv for anyone who isn't discerning, if they can get it again at $200.

I got the 50" smart 4k tv on Black Friday for $198. TV worked great out of the box. Picture is no different than my similar TCL and Samsung. The user interface its very annoying compared to my TCL and Samsung smart tv's. Its slow and confusing. In my opinion, pay the extra few bucks and at least get a TCL or Vizio. Plus, lots of the reviews clain that this TV wont last a year. The remote its big and very old school with at least 30 bottons. Do not buy this TV if you own a named brand smart TV already, cuz you will regreat it. This westinghouse is very cheap made and configured. I gave it a 3 star score, because it worked good out of box, picture looks great and the price was great. Good luck.

Great TV quality but smart functions are limited. If having Netflix only classifies as smart TV then your in business. Good TV overall.

I love Westinghouse products. My TV in the bedroom is a Westinghouse as well as my microwave. I have no issues so far. It came securely packaged. It picture shows very clear. And it works with my vizio sound system.

This is a good tv for watching General HD cable. If you’re buying it for the WiFi enabled apps like Netflix try a better brand. This things processor speed is a snail when it comes to Netflix. Just switching between movies using the remote takes minutes as it has to load for a while each time you move the tab. Good for the price.

Picture and features worked well, considering price, for approx 9 months. Then it stopped connecting to wifi via plugged in cable or OTA. I had to purchase a firestick to use TV but now sleep feature won't work when using HDMI.

Okay for the price but would not recommend! When you first try to turn it on it will sit on the “Westinghouse” logo for 30/60 seconds then shut itself off. Then you have to wait about a minute to turn it back on. It started this about 6 months after owning it. However, the picture quality is alright. It’s not the best we’ve had but once again for the price it’s not bad. It’s overall an okay TV but I would not personally recommend it to any of my friends or family.

    Buyer Beware!

I bought this like many during the Black Friday sale - could not beat the price. We were in the process of moving, so I just got it out of the box yesterday in the new place (had not previously been unboxed at all). Within hours of plugging in, the screen randomly goes black (with functioning audio) on any HDMI input. Now I'm past Best Buy's window to return and my options are to mail it to Westinghouse at my expense, live with the need to randomly switch sources mid-show, or write it off and get something that actually does its job. I did not get a single day of functionality out of this worthless piece of junk, and regardless I've had it. I will make it my new hobby to stop people from buying this brand.

I got this for $200 for cyber Monday deal. Best Buy has been great at there work. But all the fault is in TV, only apps that are useful is YOUTUBE and NETFLIX. Can't add apps and can't screen share. Picture quality is also bad. audio is Ok. overall I suggest this tv as a display for store or similar usage not for entertainment.

Didn't last much more than the one year warranty.

Just lasted more than one year and then I discovered that there was a flaw with this TV where a component would over heat and fail. Cost to replace the part was about the same amount of the sale price.

Was a good tv for 2 years. Not so much now!

I don't expect a tv to last forever, but it certainly should last more than 2 years of limited use! Best buy won't do anything because out of warranty, and Westinghouse isn't willing either. There is always an option as a manufacture if you want to keep a customer! Told me to take it to a tv repairman. The only place I see it going to is in the dumpster! I would think twice before buying a Westinghouse branded product!

Poor excuse for bargain brand TV

I would rate this TV even less than 1 star if I could....terrible interface, mediocre picture quality even for the price and the kicker....picture went out after not even 2 years of ownership.....STAY AWAY or MAKE SURE you purchase extended warranty on it as manufacturer only gives you one.....I got what I paid for i guess....never been so disappointed in a Best Buy product. Come on guys you should do better than to carry fraudulent brands like Westinghouse among your stellar line of products...

I had my TV for 3 months and it died, would not power on. I thought well it's still under warranty -no worries. WRONG. I was required to pay shipping to return the TV - $135! I got the TV on sale for $200, so I got the short end of the stick. TV end up costing me a total of $335 and I still have to purchase another because they didn't have a replacement.

Bought this in November and by mid December the picture started going black. At 1st it was just for a few seconds then it would go black for 30 to 60 minutes at a time. Westinghouse customer service has been no help. Every thing they had me try only made it worse. Now I have no tv and they are fighting me all the way.
