I'm ok with it
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great size. Great price. I was fortunate to be able to get this sale. Although the sound quality is terrible. I need to eventually get a sound bar. If shows that it has facebook and twitter but the facebook app doesn't work. Vudu, pandora and accuweather also works. The remote eye location is in a bad spot at one end at bottom of tv so if doesn't hardly pick up the remote control single unless you're right up on it. Tv is very heavy in weight as well. Just an FYI. Other than what I have stated...it's a great tv for low income.

Nice Picture, Average Sound, Remote sensor bad.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had this TV about 18 months now. The picture is Excellent and the sound is decent. The remote sensor is absolutely atrocious though. You have to be pointing the remote DIRECTLY at the sensor to even get it to work some of the time. Also, In turning the TV on, the Sound intermittently doesn’t work. You have to turn the tv off and on again a couple times to get it to work. We use a sound bar so this isn’t really an issue with us, but still.

Great for a second tv or cheaper alternative
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pluses: Large screen Clear picture Thin design Easy set up Netflix works great Casual gamming is great Adequate inputs Black Friday Price cant be beat Cons Limited adjustments not for those who tinker with picture Limited apps HDR is limited to 4:2:2 xbox x Not good for competitive gaming Poor audio Poor remote reception Heavy weighs more than my samsung tv. No Amazon prime video or hulu No app store For a $200+ tv I cant complain much, it pails in comparison to my Samsung 4k but for the price and size it more than makes up for it. This is my bedroom tv so it works fine for that purpose. If your a stickler for quality picture look elsewhere. Not for those hoping for a true smart tv. Only 5 apps. I use nvidia sheild so that doesnt apply to me. I believe most of the population would find it ok if your looking for something simple and as a back up tv. 4 stars is for price and what you get.

So Glad I Bought This TV !
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV when it was on sale for 249 and I am super happy with my purchase. I waited to write a review until I had the chance to use it for a couple weeks. The picture is amazing. The colors are true to life. It's very thin and sleek looking. As far as what other reviewers have complained about : the speakers are not horrible like what I was expecting. They are typical run of the mill speakers. Yes, there's no deep bass and they won't wow you, but that's the case for most TVs which is why I bought the LG 300W soundbar with the wireless woofer for this (another great buy I totally recommend especially on sale for 129). I hooked up my Roku Streaming Stick + to this TV so I could stream Philo. I live in an area where AT&T only has the slowest speed Uverse available but I have no problems with connections or lagging. The TV connected easily and right away to my wifi. Setup was a breeze. As far as reviewers complaining about the remote : all you have to do is aim the remote at the left side of the TV and it works fine although my Roku remote is what I've been using for everything and it was able to sync with the TV perfectly.

No Surprise...it's A Great Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here's the short version: If you grew up poor and can't mentally justify spending a month of rent in urban California on a single television, if you're poor as heck right now but could conceivably afford this television, if you've never owned a 4k TV, if you've never owned an especially large TV, you will not be disappointed by this gigantic freaking monstrosity of a display. It nicely upscales 1080p content, it has a nice frame rate, it has passable speakers you can hear the bass on, and as someone who is picky about delay to the point of 25ms being effectively unusable for music-based games I am very happy with the "game mode" option that removes the delay typically associated with HDMI displays. It is a good TV and everyone in my family, which includes two audio people and a visual artist, is extremely happy with it. The detailed version: Given the extremely low cost compared to similarly sized TVs it is surprisingly high quality. The remote is minimal, comfortable, and easy to use. Has a phone app in case you're one of the many people who habitually misplace the remote. App does exactly the same things the remote does. The speakers kinda suck at low volumes, but it's whatever. If you care about audio quality go buy some fancy external hookups. It's good enough that I can bump the Thumper soundtrack and it's still a decent listening quality. Actually plays tones below 200Hz and does so cleanly, so it's better than most TVs I've had. It has a "game mode" that it claims will affect the picture quality, but does not noticeably do, and the lack of delay is such that it is not noticeable to me, a musician to whom 25ms of delay is unacceptably bad and unusable. I'm actually able to play Thumper on the Nintendo Switch with no problems whereas with my previous TV it was so bad that I opted instead to play on console with headphones. This is the feature that I love the most about this TV. The upscaling is such that on my gaming PC I saw no difference between 4k and 1080p when playing GTA5 (except for the frame rate when large distances or a large number of objects are visible, which is entirely due to the fact that I'm playing it on a GTX1060). It has a lot of service integrations, such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant Video, Google Play Movies, and a few others. IT'S HUGE OH MY GOD I AM BAD AT CONCEPTUALISING PHYSICAL SPACE I DID NOT REALISE HOW BIG FIFTY-FIVE INCHES IS EVEN WHEN ESTIMATING ITS SIZE BASED ON MY EXISTING 58" TELEVISION I LITERALLY HAD TO REARRANGE MY ENTIRE ROOM AND BUILD NEW FURNITURE TO ACCOMMODATE THIS THING??????? It's surprisingly thin. Does CEC and has settings to automatically switch channels based on what just turned on. Lots of options for controlling and customising various aspects of the television including picture and audio correction, accessibility options including captions and spoken audio transcription (I have not tested the latter feature), and UI skins. You should absolutely poke around the options as much as possible once you get this as there are several options for things like the refresh rate of the display, which I imagine is relevant to a lot of people. (I am not intimately familiar with specifics of refresh rates, but I have seen no tearing or distortion from fast-motion visuals and things appear to animate smoothly.) Does some advertising for purchasing media through Roku, presumably to offset the cost of the device. It isn't especially intrusive and only consists of movie posters in a small portion of the screen at very select times in one part of one menu. Does require a significant amount of opting out of certain things. Overall a fantastically huge, featureful, and good-looking TV for the cost. Regarding complaints I've seen in other reviews: My product did not show up broken, it has not stopped working despite extensive use since I got it, I have no complaints about the refresh rate, it displays 4k content over HDMI with no issues, they say it's a glossy screen but it's really just unusually and disconcertingly smooth and otherwise significantly less glareful and reflective than my previous television, it has effectively no inconsistencies with backlighting or colour (just a small spot that's slightly brighter, which is only visible at extreme viewing angles or if the screen is effectively displaying nothing but black, and I don't mean like really dark or a scene at night I mean like literally it is displaying the color black over 50% of the screen, and only then is it noticeable from a front angle, and just barely at that). So if you're one of those folks that buys artisan gold plated audio cables aged seven years in oaken casks, if you buy two of the Ti version of the latest Nvidia graphics card because you absolutely need to run everything on "Ultra" at 120FPS in 4k, if you're the kind of person who thinks Grey Goose tastes better, you probably won't like this TV. If 10% not as good as the best thing for 1/4 of the cost is your jam, this is an amazing purchase. I freaking love my new giant TV.

Good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a great price for a 58" 4K TV. Overall, the picture is great. Some reviews knocked the audio quality, but I am pleased with the audio. Setup was easy. The remote has a cheap feel, but I just use the Apple TV remote for almost everything. The big negative is that there isn't a way to update the firmware. It says that you can update via downloading the update to a USB thumb drive, and plugging it into the TV. However, the website they give is a scam website that tries to infect your PC with viruses. I went directly to Westinghouse's support site, and it just took me in circles. The built in "Apps" are fine, but it needs an update which doesn't appear to be happening. However, I'm using my Apple TV for that functionality anyway, so it's not a big deal.

Picture is great, internal Speakers acceptable
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, you are going to be hard pressed to get a better picture quality. Acceptable framerates for gaming, screen is bright and color is vivid. Keep in mind it isn't OLED so the screen's black color is slightly grey. The smart tv functionality leaves much to be desired, but it can navigate Netflix and Youtube. I recommend getting a 4k Amazon Firestick or roku (I like the firestick because they can do 5ghz wifi, and roku can generally only do 2.4) The remote on the TV also seems to struggle a bit, but aim at the bottom left of the TV and it will work better for you. The biggest drawback for this TV is the internal speakers, they are thin and have a rather tinny sound. However, it does have an output for external speakers, even with a 3.5mm jack and the TV volume adjusts this output. Overall, I anticipated these drawbacks for the price, and in its basic functions as a TV it excels and exceeds my expectations. If you are hesitant, I bought one and then bought another for a friend.

Ummmm
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would recommend if you have a streaming stick. Quality of tv screen and audio is so nice. But a number of apps are not enough.. and it doesn't catch my 5G wifi. So I connect this TV with 2.4G wifi and it looks to have a problem. I have to watch like this picture every 10 to 15 minutes when I watch Youtube and Netflix. (I added 2 picture).. I don't know what is the problem. Anyway. I ordered roku premier, so I'm gonna test whether this problem is about TV or wifi.

Very Happy!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a BF purchase at $250 and just about the best deal on a TV this year. The picture is excellent, the sound is terrible but had a soundbar that hooked up beautifully. I came from a TCL 55" 1080p TV that didn't last 3 years. With the BB 5 year GS plan I hope to make this one last!

Good tv for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You get what you paid, for $250 I was not expecting more than what the description says, I have to say that image is ok, sound is kind of bad and if you want the tv for gaming you should not get it. Pros: Price Size Weight Picture Cons: remote control is just awful, it doesnt work if you are not in front of the tv. it have pre loaded apps and thats it, sometimes you need to disconnect the tv for about 20 seconds so you can use the app again (Netflix / youtube) The black images doesnt look good at all, poor quality. Overall is a good TV for the price that you are paying, if you are looking a TV for gaming you should not pick this one. If is just to watch series it would be ok but get a sound bar, you will need it.

Good picture, bad remote
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture on this set is excellent for the price. Colors are deep and blacks are good. Only negative so far is that the remote must be pointed directly at the receiver for it to function. And by directly, I mean with precision aim. I now have 3 of these sets for various locations, and all exhibit the same problem. Otherwise recommended 100%

Nice Tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I have to say that this was a real deal. I paid only $ 250 for this tv on Black Friday. I was planning to use this tv as one of my secondary TVs at home. I really enjoy the clear picture and bright colors that I have experienced so far. Currently, I have only used television for video games with my son and we both enjoyed it a lot. The sound of the television is not the best, however, I connected it to my Yamaha 9.2 receiver, problem solved. The remote control does not have the best range I would have expected, so I connected it to my Harmony 650 and I can say that there was a significant improvement over the original remote control. As I said, this was going to be a secondary television, but in general, it fulfills the basic purpose of any tv which is providing a clear picture and really vivid colors. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.
