This unit is replacing a full size over the stove Microwave. The template/backplate helped a great deal for the install. The microwave works great and it is nice to see the stove controls without bending over. The only small disadvantage is the unit sticks out around just over 6 inches from the adjacent cupboards so those doors can only be opened just over half way.

i thought I would like the shorter profile but it turns out that it sticks out farther than the traditional models making it harder to access the cabinets above. It is also harder to reach into and so not as easy to place the stuff to be heated without tipping the rotating plate off its base. Not a good choice for short people. You also have to open the door to set the timer. I prefer the control panel on the outside like traditional microwaves

we've been waiting for a low profile over the range microwave. we really like it.

Fit nice. Features worked as advertised. Smaller size has not diminished usefulness. Works much more safely higher above stove. Very pleased with our whirlpool microwave.

It's hard to find a microwave this size (low-profile) to fit underneath low cabinets. This microwave fits perfectly and works very well. I love the different light brightness options as well as the soft sound it make when it's done cooking. The fans can be really loud, which is the only drawback.

If you need or want to replace a hood range with an overhead microwave and have very limited space between the stove and hood range then is microwave is perfect for you. It is compact and slender and will fit without having to reduce or change the overhead cabinet. It is also large enough to perform all of the needs required from a standard size overhead microwave.

The first unit I got had an electrical problem inside and I had to wait 2 weeks for another one. Once I got it up and began to use it, I found that it works well, but it took some time to figure out how to start it because there is NO button marked as START. Also, there is No alarm sound when it is finished. It works but the planning of it's design could have been better.

So very slick and modern and very simple to use! I like it so far!!!!!

Easy to mount on the wall. Works fine. Easy to use.

Perfect fit to replace an existing microwave that quit working. While not as tall as the old microwave, I have found that it heats everything that I need it for. Plus it provides me additional access to my range. I expect that the open servo will fail before too long but it is not needed.

I have had this for 2 years now. No problems to speak of. It heats and runs as expected. Easy to keep clean and saves me counter space since its above the stove. I would definitely recommend.

I was a little weary on getting this because of how skinny/short it is, however, it was the only way I could clear counter space and put a microwave above my stove (as it gave me the recommended clearing above the stove-top). It actually looks great and we've received multiple compliments on it. From a functionality perspective - it works well and I have no complaints.

This microwave was purchased for my daughter & son-in-law. Their kitchen in the Seattle area is pretty small, so we thought we'd put in an "over-the-stove" microwave like we have here in Sparks. The unit is very compact and powerful, and works like a champ. Because this unit is also ducted, we had Best Buy do the installation. The installer was on-time and did a great job.

Love the look. Perfect for my new kitchen. Very modern.

Awesome space saver and perfect size. We honestly never put anything in the microwave bigger than this accommodates so it’s perfect. Looks great and has a great light and fan for the cooktop. Very happy with our purchase, worth every dollar for the sleek look and space we gained.

I've had this microwave for less than 2 years. Initially, it was great microwave. Loved its low profile and how most things fit in the small space. The materials and workmanship are sub-par. Less than two years and it is falling apart. Everything is made of plastic which means it is not built to last. They give you a one year warranty for a reason. For a $500 microwave, that is unsatisfactory to say the least. A small part fell out from who knows where after normal use and now the panel that has the start button and the open button for the microwave door is out of place and falling apart. I scheduled a service call through Whirpool; $139.95 just to have them look at it and tell me how much it would cost to repair. A new one now costs over $400. Very unsatisfied with Whirlpool. DO NOT BUY!!!!
