I've had this microwave for less than 2 years. Initially, it was great microwave. Loved its low profile and how most things fit in the small space. The materials and workmanship are sub-par. Less than two years and it is falling apart. Everything is made of plastic which means it is not built to last. They give you a one year warranty for a reason. For a $500 microwave, that is unsatisfactory to say the least. A small part fell out from who knows where after normal use and now the panel that has the start button and the open button for the microwave door is out of place and falling apart. I scheduled a service call through Whirpool; $139.95 just to have them look at it and tell me how much it would cost to repair. A new one now costs over $400. Very unsatisfied with Whirlpool. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Product functions as intended. Hood/ventilation function is better than expected. Door squeaks when opening. I'm a tall person and this low profile allows me to see the back of the cooktop without bending down. The larger sizes do not allow for this.

This microwave is such a space saver. It's low profile is perfect for over our stove top. And it still has plenty of room inside to warm up everything we need.

For the cost this microwave is disappointing. Auto cook/defrost features are very and do not work well. Exhaust vent works fairly well but is very noisy. The button to turn on the vent is on the face on the microwave and is easily turned on accidentally when wiping the front. The default turn on is HIGH. This requires the button to be pressed 4 times in order to turn off.

I’ve really enjoying this microwave oven. Its has worked great and freed up counter space. It has a great form factor and does not over power my kitchen and accent my other appliances. I would recommend buying installation services as getting the mounting plate leveled is rough for a modest do-it-yourselves person.

Except for a short wait for the product, the delivery, installation and take away were all top rate!

This is exactly what we needed for a small apartment/kitchen. Where space is very limited and still would like to retain a microwave + hood combo, this product easily seals the deal. The design is superb and I'm hoping for a long lifetime!

This is a great microwave that maikes my barbeque hog and grits leftover steamy hot when I take them out of my refrigerator (see my other review). But the two things I really like about this microwave is heating up those micorwavable pork rinds, those things are yummy, and when not in use its a perfect place to put my moonshine fore a late night snort.

I'm giving 2 stars due to the defective exhaust fan, and an extremely poor install/replacement service. Once this replacement/install is resolved, I will probably never order or ask Best Buy to install another appliance again. I ordered this whirlpool low profile microwave over a week ago, and then picked it up at Best Buy. I later ordered a service to have Best Buy (Geek Squad) install the microwave. The installer (Abdul) identified the defective motor during installation, took a video to document it, but apparently never reported it to Best Buy. The next day, I spoke w/ Best Buy support on Chat, and was told a replacement would be scheduled for this week (Today). The delivery team came today, but then told me they could only replace (pick up and return) but not uninstall and install the new one. The delivery team told me they don't even install microwaves, and left w/ the new microwave. This is a real disappointment. I now have to wait for the delivery team to return the new microwave to the warehouse later today. And then, I can call back to schedule another attempt at replacing/installing the original defective microwave.

I’ve been waiting 20 years for a microwave to replace my greasy hood. This is the perfect most beautiful microwave ever. It has a 3 speed fan and a light. It measures the same as the big under the cabinet microwaves inside. It looks so beautiful. My counter space looks so beautiful with the old huge microwave covering it.

I’ve had it for 5 months now. Perfect. Fan is great. Easy to clean. My friends always compliment the sleek look. Excellent for reheating coffee and is bigger inside than appears.

This microwave works great and I can't say enough wonderful things about the installation team. They came out and installed everything so well! They even fixed the fridge water line after it was delivered. Terrific service, great, low-profile microwave looks so good and holds much more food than expected. Awesome all round!
