This is a great microwave. This low profile style solved a problem we had with limited space above our stove. We love the look of it as well as the functionality. The fan works really well and the light is LED not halogen like some of the other microwaves we looked at. The controls are easy to use. The only negative is the small size of the inside. Overall we are very happy with this purchase.

We got our floor raised about 1.5 inches in our kitchen. We didn't want the space between our range and micorwave to look so cramped. This was an excellent option. Not only is this microwave not the normal size but it also has great tech packed in a small package. It has food sensing tech to automatically cook food. It also has a touch open door sensor. It was a really simple install as well.

Installation was straight forward and the oven works very well as does the fan. It is a nice looking addition to the kitchen replacing a 40 year old hood. The stainless finish matches the smudge free stainless from a Fridgedaire oven we had bought earlier which is a bonus. Overall, great product.

Have it installed and in use for 2 weeks now. The profile makes a great difference to our ability to use the range below it. Works very well so far and looks great in its place. The fan for venting is relatively quiet with 4 speed settings. Lighting over the range is adequate, but could have been brightet.

Nice slim design. Works great. However, the company that Best Buy used for installation is no good. I would hire someone you know is skilled to install it. They tried to discard some parts and left the vent loosely attached. I had to redo the installation. Great Microwave but Best Buy installation is not recommended.

This microwave / hood unit is a terrific addition to our kitchen. The installation went smoothly and the performance has been outstanding. It replaced a much larger unit saving us considerable space. It is also much quieter. Would recommend this product to anyone searching for a compact unit. For its size, it is amazing how much room there is inside the unit.

Clean, modern, and minimalist design. For us this replaced an old standard height (16") over range microwave that was falling apart. This new one is only 10" high and creates more height and visual space above our range. The design minimizes buttons, which might means fewer bells and whistles that we probably wouldn't use anyway, but gives it a cleaner look. You have a few buttons on the door and another small button panel is accessible when you open the door. The difference between this and the model below it (same size) appears to be the upgrade from halogen to LED light inside and over the grill, and a better non-stick interior coating (vs powder coat on the lower model). The LED that shines on the grill is not as bright as I expected even on high, but it is still nice to have. Note that these over-range microwaves are more expensive because they include your exhaust vent blower built in, which is not something other microwaves need to have. Installation was not rocket science but I still hired someone experienced to ensure everything was cut/fit right on my cabinetry and vent hood.

Installed for about a month now and we love how it looks and the sleek design and hidden controls. So far it works great and we haven't had any size issues with anything fitting yet. Good go up to 5 stars if everything is the same after 6 or 12 months. Also, love having the microwave off of our counter

The microwave works great, heats food quick and looks really modern. I like that it is all touch screen but you can still pull the bottom to open the door if needed. I don’t think it is worth the almost $500 it costs but since it’s the only low profile microwave on the market, you don’t really have a choice. Not a huge deal but there is no rack in this microwave like there are in the regular size ones.

Perfect -- does all the basics. Switched from a large convection model to this slim line version and couldn't be happier. The fan works so much better - quite impressive. Happy to have converted back to a regular microwave

Our house was build in 1973 with Amish-built cabinets and an over-range hood. This is a perfect replacement for that hood and looks great! We were concerned that we would not be able to heat taller cups in it, but so far everything (just barely) fits! I can also fit an entire large pizza box in it! The button layout and overall design is very good.

I was concerned I would think the low-profile would look odd (it was the only microwave that would fit the space, but it looks just fine. It is easy to use once you get used to where the time settings are (consider the source: my old microwave was on the counter and about 20 years old - so all of this was an adjustment for me).

nice low profile design. vent fan works well for cooking on the stove underneath. I like the sensor cook function.

I love my low profile over the range microwave from Whirlpool! It really upgraded the look my kitchen. It’s sleek, easy to use and efficient. Best Buy installed it and did an amazing job. As I continue to update my kitchen, Best Buy and Whirlpool are on my list.

Very expensive, but it fit my space when nothing else would. Very happy with my purchase.

This is a great microwave. It has a low profile so it is less obtrusive than the larger ones. You can still fit a dinner plate sized dish or casserole sized platter inside. Also, I bought the one with the larger fan, so that what I'm cooking doesn't invade the whole house.

A little heavy but easy to install. Works very well for what we typically need.

Beauty over function applies to this microwave. Does it bug me a lot? Initially... but I got used to it... So the problem is that, the keypad is behind the door. So after you put your stuff in, you can't just slam the door and type on the keypad. You have to leave that door opened hanging around dangerously next to your head, type on the keypad, and then close the door and press start. That's my only issue with this thing. But like I said I got used to it, it's fine. If it's 2 minutes, I rather just press "heat 30 seconds" four times. This thing is beautiful though. It makes your kitchen looking so much better with this thing. I got nothing else to say. It's a microwave, it's a range hood. And it works, and it's beautiful looking.

We are enjoying the slimline microwave we bought. It does have a learning curve but easy to figure out. The times for different processes is different than our regular size micro but we are figuring that out also. Only had it for a few weeks but would still buy it again.

Great microwave. Should have gone with an over the range model years ago. I was lucky and able to vent straight out the back and through the wall. My only complaint is no controls on the outside. All buttons aside from Start (+30sec) and cancel are inside the door. There is a touch button that automatically opens the door, but I never use it. You still need a free hand to use the button so we just end up manually opening it anyway.
