The unit works and is fine it's just bigger and clunkier than I had expected. Simple straightforward user interface.

I am not one to write poor reviews. I would rather commend companies/workers for solid work than anything else. That being said, this microwave was a nightmare from the start. After doing my due diligence, I went with this Whirlpool to replace a GE Advantium from 2001 (22-years of solid use!). We have other Whirlpool products, so I was fine going with them. When it come to mounting the microwave, the real problems began. I am a bit of a handyman, so I knew mounting wouldn't be an issue. I couldnt had been more wrong! The mounting nut (inside the microwave) came loose from its bracket and I was stuck with a microwave that was half mounted with loose pieces inside. I had to use a hack saw to saw the attached bolt off just to dismount the microwave. I was not thrilled with getting metal shards all over the kitchen or near the magnetron. After unscrewing the cover, I witnessed the incredibly poor quality control of this microwave. Poor mounting nuts led to this failure, and it cost me a ton of time, money at the hardware store and frustration. To make matters worse, I paid $333 for this microwave (Aug 15) and its now $230 (Aug 27). I feel likeI got jipped in more ways than one.

This was an open box that was sold as “very good” condition. It actually had a bad dent that went unnoticed until installing and the fan makes a loud noise as the it is broken internally.
