If you scroll down, you will see an earlier review that I wrote, and in the comments of that review you will see that the replacement that Whirlpool corporate sent was working....... UNTIL a month ago (April 2020)... when the brand new replacement model became FLAWED like the original. The problem is that for no apparent reason, the display on the front will go completely dark. No matter that you may touch the touch screen or try to press one of the "buttons", nothing happens. Open the door, close it, still nothing. The ONLY thing that brings back the microwave is to UNPLUG its power cord, wait a good 60 seconds, and then plug it back again to allow it to boot up! Like an old computer that isn't running properly! After the first one died, and before Whirlpool corporate sent out a replacement with complimentary installation, I hired an electrician to check the circuit. It was on its own 20 amp circuit breaker and it was fine. Then, I purchased a quality commercial grade appliance SURGE SUPPRESSOR so that when the new microwave was installed, it would not be susceptible to any irregularities of electrical nature (surges, etc). As stated above the new one was installed back in August of 2019 and in April 2020, it pretty much became useless. In fact, this past week (May 24 through 30, 2020), I've had to "reboot" it (unplug, wait, plug back) six times! I do *NOT* recommend this model to anyone. It's a shame, because Whirlpool was such a great brand in years past.
