Customers are saying
Customers consistently note the excellent convection cooking and ease of use of this over-the-range microwave. Many appreciate its quiet operation, attractive design, and the helpful sensor cooking feature. However, some users mention concerns about the sturdiness of the door and find the control panel somewhat challenging to navigate. The microwave's weight and the keypad's functionality are also mentioned as areas needing improvement.

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Disappointed in this microwave! Extremely expensive - not very well made. The clips have broken out from the bottom of the door and when you use the stove it causes the circuit board to short out. Several people have posted this same complaint on different sites. So to repair you have to purchase a whole new door at 300.00.

Door broke
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like other reviews, the door broke, now when cooking the steam starts to get into the door where you can see it behind the glass and the buttons stop working.

Door sensor is the worst
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microwave is hot garbage. It looks nice, and, when it works, it works well. The problem is that the sensor that detects whether or not the door is open sticks, so you can't use it. See, it has to detect that the door has recently been open before you can microwave anything and, because the sensor sticks, the stupid thing thinks the door hasn't been opened and it refuses to actually microwave anything. Worst microwave I have ever owned as this happens a few times per week and it's not even 3 years old. Sometimes the sensor stays stuck for 5 or 10 minutes, which is just infuriating, especially when you have impatient toddlers waiting.

Mrs.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased this 3/2018 and are currently getting our third microwave. The keypad on the door is a major problem. Often when you enter the time to cook and press start it freezes. You have to unplug it and hope that corrects the problem. Sometimes you have to wait for a long period of time for it to work again. When using the convection oven and it has finished preheating, you open the door, put in your food, close the door and it no longer works and takes a great deal of time to work again. I also feel it is not as hot as other microwaves. It takes longer to cook food than it did in my other microwaves.

Failing after 2+ years
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased 2.5 years ago and it is starting to fail. Consistent issues with the touch panel. Sometimes it starts on its own. Now magnetron is beginning to fail.

The Worst Microwave
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely the worst microwave I've ever used. It deserves 0 stars. At first it seemed to be great, and it was ok for a couple years (just long enough for the warranty to expire). Then one day out of the blue I heard a pop when I opened the microwave door. The frame inside the door had broken loose and the electronics would no longer function. The microwave would start making random beeping noises and then not respond to any keys pressed. We wanted to have it repaired, but it turns out the repair costs are as much as buying a whole new microwave. We didn't realize when we purchased it what a poor design it has. All the electronics are in the door, and constantly pulling the door open put excessive stress on the plastic where the screws were screwed into so that it just popped, and that made the electronics malfunction. This is one of the most awful purchases ever because the microwave was not cheap, but it sure is made cheap. I won't be replacing this with another Whirlpool.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This microwave will fall apart wait and see.Do not review your product until after 1.5 years or at least change your review after you use it, many reports and YouTube shows how terrible whirlpool products are made. Major door failures and keyboard .whirlpool customer service is so bad and they treated me terrible I’ll never buy a whirlpool anything again. My is dangerous turning on by itself. I’ll be filling a safety complaint with the state.

Cheaply made door
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After less than 3 years the door broke due to the moisture that built up and without the extended warranty it’s too expensive to replace. Whirlpool will no longer be in my home.

Whirlpool Doesn't Stand Behind Their Product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased the Microwave a year and a Half ago and a few weeks after the 1 year warranty was up, the Magnetron went out along with a diode. About 3 weeks after that was repaired the keyboard became unresponsive and entire microwave had to be unplugged and plugged back in order to reset the appliance before it would work. The keyboard continues to malfunction 4-5 times a day. The alarm goes off and errors are displayed on the screen randomly when there is no one around the microwave like in the middle of the night. Whirlpool customer service supervisors said they are unwilling to replace or repair the 1.5 year old appliance because it is out of warranty.
