Great Microwave
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Whirlpool microwave to replace an old unit. Looks great. I've only had it for about six weeks. So far it works well. I don't do extensive cooking in the microwave, mostly cook vegetables, warm up soup and leftovers. The interior has a coating which makes it easy to clean. As some other reviews stated, you have to be directly in front of the unit to read the clock. Overall I really like the unit.

So far it has worked reliably without any issues. One big downside for me, and the reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the LCD display. It has very poor visibility and gets worse if you change the way you look at it (up/down/left/right). You pretty much have to look at it straight at it to see it, but even then it is poor with blue ambiance.

We've really ONLY used it for heating up so far because most of our summer is BBQ. Leftover veggies, sauces & taters (love that word) is what it's used for mostly and it handles it very well! Late night popcorn {BAG SAYS "DO NOT USE POPCORN BUTTON} so I don't. One minute & forty five seconds, perfect!

Solid buy

Install was fairly simple even in the remodeled kitchen in a house we just bought. Controls are straight forward. The stove light could be a little brighter but the fan is nice and powerful and moves quite a bit of air to keep from smoking out. My wife is a happy woman so I definitely am a happy man.
