Customers often highlight the compact size and great fit for small spaces of the 11.6 Cu. Ft. Top-Freezer Counter-Depth Refrigerator. Many appreciate its quiet operation and the price point compared to competitors. However, there are concerns about its cooling capabilities, with some customers reporting issues within a few weeks of use. Short lifespan, limited warranty, and leaking issues have also been mentioned.

Perfect fridge for our basement kitchenette! It's small enough to fit a tight space but large enough to have a separate freezer section.
Unfortunately this is the replacement for a brand new one that never worked after it was delivered. We wkndered how it ever got past quality control! This one works great.

I had bought a Whirlpool in 2007 and it lasted almost 14 years. I bought another, smaller Whirlpool refrigerator. This refrigerator has a nice design, however the bottom part of the back is open which makes me think it might be vulnerable to dust getting in. There is no light in the freezer and the one in the main part of the unit is very dim. The sections for storage are flimsy.

This product didn't last a month of being plugged in and neither Best Buy or Whirlpool will replace the defective item.
I bought this for my small business (Healthcare clinic) and that seems to have fallen on deaf ears as well considering I need the refrigerator for what I do. what a nightmare it's been.

I have been through two of these. One at home, one at my office. Both had significant issues with water collecting in the bottom drawers, then the drain lines freezing, backing up water into the freezer compartment, which iced over. I had the Geek Squad protection. One of the two GS visits had the tech place wood shims under the fron feet to tip the unit slightly backwards. This failed to resolve the issue, plus looked terrible. Next move is to ask for a refund and buy any other brand than Whirlpool

Absolutely the worst product i have ever purchased from whirlpool. Freezer over freezes and get ice built-up. Then the refrigerator doesn't cool. Absolutely horrible. Oh and it only comes with a one year warranty.

I bought this because I thought Whirlpool sold quality products. Boy, were we wrong! We have had issues with this refrigerator after only 4 months of use. Refrigerator was delivered end of August 2021, 4 months later water started leaking from freezer down into refrigerator then turning to ice and ruining food. Freezer had ice build up too. Now the refrigerator does not keep temperature and freezer looks like it’s been snowing in there! Even after first 4 months, Best Buy nor Whirlpool wanted to help. I have had a GE full size in our main kitchen for 18 years and never have had any issues! Super disappointing that Whirlpool won’t replace or recall them back!

The only problem with the refrigerator is that when you turn the temperature down from bottom my frozen food from freezer starts to melt so I have to keep temperature high from refrigerator part to keep my frozen from melting so now my eggs get frozen

I waited 24 hours after I installed it to see if temperature would stabilize but it keeps dripping water in the refrigerator part and the freezer frosted around my food.
Haven't had the time to call manufacturer for assistance on how to set right temperature since the manual is not helpful.

Piece of junk. Fridge quit working after 7 months. Lost a fridge full of food. Totaltech can't do anything until after the 1 yr. whirlpool warranty, and whirlpool doesn't pick up the phone. they have one of the best customer avoidance menus i've done battle with.

After about 6 months the freezer started frosting up and dripping large amounts of water into the fridge. After defrosting was good for another 6 months then it started to increase in frequency. The doors definitely need double checked to make sure they are closed.

Its a great fridge for what you pay for, nice features led light, finger print restance and milk in the door was a big factor for me. Not many fridges have this feature at this size.

Unit was what we were looking for and was a returned item for discount. Got unit home and didn’t work. Customer service personal was great and returned the item no problem. Unit should of been tested and not rated on exterior condition alone.

OK for the Price, but Freezer Does Not Work Well

Good basic refrigerator for the price, but it constantly has water pooled on the shelves in the refrigerator section. I do not have an icemaker, so I am assuming this is part of the defrost cycle for the freezer. All the food in the freezer is freezer burned very quickly and I sometimes find small pools of liquid in the freezer as well even though the thermometer I placed in it says it is in the proper freezing range. I believe this is all related to a faulty automatic defrost cycle. I also suggest leaving it set to the "Recommended" setting. When I adjusted it after adding a large amount of food, as suggested in the user manual, the freezer dropped to 40 below and the fridge rose to 50 degrees and would not stabilize for days. Had to throw everything away, unplug it for several hours, and then restart it at the Recommended setting.

This fridge looks great and has decent storage for being a smaller friedge, but I was surprised whirlpool decided to act up. The fridge does not cool great. The worst part is the opening from the freezer to the fridge freezes over causing freezer burn and a warm fridge. I have had to turn my fridge off and let it defrost for 24hours about 6 times within the first 3 months of purchasing. Customer service for the item is also the worst. If you can get another fridge for the same price, take it. This one is just for looks apparently.

This is not a good fridge. The temperature controls are horrible. The one in the freezer feels like a toy knob. There is no distinctive clicks and the knobs feels really loose. It doesnt keep food frozen. Our icecream was more like whip cream consistency. It also builds up ice on the bottom of the freezer and leaks ALOT of water into the fridge. I had to put a bowl under the little component in the back to catch all the water. The fridge stays nice and cold! But the freezer wont stay cold. Going to see if manufacturers warranty will fix it. Only had it running since May 2021. Oh, it also shows finger prints too!

Purchased in June 2021. Doors do not provide confidence that they will stay shut. Don't expect help with lighting inside. Starting pooling water on shelves in month 9 of ownership. Can't find support for this problem in manual or online. Poor choice for a second refrigerator.
