The freezer door seal is so weak that you can watch the door pop open briefly when closing the fridge. Nothing in the door or close to the front of the freezer stays permanently frozen. Fridge was installed by Best Buy. Removing and remounting the door as directed by Whirlpool support in case the installers botched it still doesn't fix this. Fridge works fine. If you're considering this because it's cheap, lower your expectations about the freezer capacity, and keep it under 50% full, and check things kept in the door or near the front frequently to ensure they're actually frozen. Consider getting a separate freezer when and if you can.

Bought from a different store that didn't have actual model. Rep told me that the one I wanted, & couldn't see, was the exact same model w/o handles sticking out. Wrong. I'll never make that mistake again. As others have said, freezer shelf only holds the ice maker, even tho there are slots on both sides for a full-sized shelf. Whirlpool has said there is no full model's shelf for this, and if I want to use a different shelf, I'm voiding the warranty. Hate the look of the handles on both sides, and I still have plastic sticking out of odd places that I can't get out. Do NOT recommend.

The fridge seems to be doing well. It is quite, hardly runs. Balancing the temps between fridge and freezer is a real trick. The gallon jug door storage is not true. Not sure where they get their gallons of milk from. Also there is no light in the freezer. Really, how much extra would that cost ? Not big complaints but they are inconveniences.

Purchased in March. The refrigerator freezes all of the contents down the middle of the refrigerator. I tried adjusting all of the settings, nothing helped. Had repairs done in JUNE. The Whirlpool repairman told me this is a common issue on this model and that it could not be fixed. I have been throwing away frozen eggs, fruits and vegetables, etc. since I purchased it. They freeze on every shelf, they freeze in the produce drawers on the bottom. I move stuff around but still end up with ruined food. It's a waste. Also, on the design side: the sliding drawer is annoying, it slides when you don't want it to and it knocks over anything stacked on that shelf. It's also a small drawer. The produce drawers are also smaller than I am used to. Finally, the brackets that hold items on the door shelves are flimsy and easily knocked out by your shoulder when you are trying to access the main shelves. I had to glue them in place. My older refrigerator was smaller overall but had more usable space, without the freezing issue or the irritating design flaws.

The people in bests buy were very nice and helpful and the delivery guys were very nice guys, the took there time and didn't rush with anything!

Roomy, convenient shelving and storage areas. Was so pleased with our previous Whirlpool that lasted 37 years, we got a similar one.

Nothing fancy but does everything that we need it to do!

I had one of these and the whole compressor system clunked out after 6 years. Expense not worth repairing. I now purchased a Whirlpool which has much better styling (thinner doors, etc.) BestBuy salespeople say most refrigeration systems in similar price range are the same. So we'll see. Back home we had a Kelvinator that was still kicking when it was taken out after 40 years, so I gave this 2 stars instead of 1 because at least I got 6 years out of it. But Frigidaire/Electrolux ratings from other sources are usually pretty low.

I’ve had this refrigerator at 2 different apartments and wow is it really a piece of crap. Everything on the bottom shelf freezes. Spend a couple hundred more dollars for something better if you can. You’ll otherwise lose it on food you can’t eat because it went bad.

We have only had this refrigerator for a year and the freezer cools but the refrigerator doesn't. When we first got it it was the same way but started cooling. But with the warm weather the frezzer started to frost over and freeze. Now the refrigerator doesn't get cold.

I've had my refrigerator for a year and the handle has broken 3 times. Breaks in the same spot each time and company unwilling to help fix the problem except keep sending new handles. Each time, I have to clear 4 hours of time waiting for technician to come. Offered to install myself, but company unwilling to just send me handles. Freezer is not great, and ice forms on everything too.

This was used in a spare kitchenette and so it didn't get a lot of use. However it was always giving us problems, freezing items on the top fridge shelf and doors that popped open if you didn't very carefully close them. Then it suddenly froze all the fridge contents and thawed all the freezer contents- ruining everything inside. Then it went way too warm throughout. Paid a repair man to come out since its not very old and he said buy a new fridge, the freon has leaked out and its now worthless.

So far it's good only had the Refrigerator 1 month working well

Purchasing this refrigerator has been nothing but agony. Immediately we noticed that it was humming, gurgling, and making all kinds of noise. Many times it sounds like a steam engine train pulling into the station slowly chugging along. We like to yell out “The train is arriving!” when it does this. Other times it sounds like a jet engine winding up for take off. It is in fact so noisy, that it will wake us up at night with its torturing onslaught of clanking and vibrating. We have called Whirlpool customer service multiple times and spent hours talking to them to get this figured out. We have had a service technician out two times and he can’t find anything wrong. We were told, if nothing is wrong, they cannot fix it. Really? So if nothing is wrong, then you make your refrigerators to sound like they were built in the 1950’s? Never again will we purchase a Whirlpool appliance. We cannot handle the borage of noise and frustration that comes along with it. The lack of customer support is truly disappointing too. Buyer beware!!!

Terrible refrigerator. And the delivery service was just a terrible experience.

Freezer door shelves crumbled right after purchase, still waiting for Freezer door to be replaced. Fridge and Best Buy Service has been below 1 star so far. No one seems to care!

Purchased this fridge new in December 2017 and it failed in March 2019...it did not last 15 months...freezer couldn't cool past 38 erratically went to low 20s , fridge froze vegetables and other items....local service agent advised not worth the repair costs....very poor quality, do not purchase this model or any whirlpool product, this is my second Whirlpool to fail in under two years....
