I ordered a refridgerator going by the measurements online as I couldn't go above 64 1/2 inches high, well I seen the measurements to the fridge I ordered was only 63.32 inches high. so I said that will work PERFECT. well the guys came to install it in the cubby it goes in and I said ummm why does that NOT look like its going to fit, the guy said cause its not, I said well the measurements said it was only 63.32 inches high and I could go 64 1/2, he proceeded to tell me yea well they DONT take into consideration the wheels into their measurments, so needless to say my fridge that I love does NOT fit, and I have to try to figure out a way to make it fit, or go through the hassle of trying to find another one to fit. so for anyone buying a fridge online DONT!! so maybe Best Buy could take the wheels into consideration when they put the measurements online for anyone in the future.. am I ticked off? YES im very upset over this now my fridge is sitting in the middle of my kitchen waiting for us to figure out what to do with it. THANKS BEST BUY!!! very Angry Bird

bought this as a 2nd refrigerator to keep in the garage. Perfect for what we needed- old school top freezer and one large door configuration.

Not a bad refrigerator but after 4 years the circuit board and sensors have died. It will cost more to fix it than replace it. Freezes the stuff in the refrigerator while the freezer section is too warm. No more Whirlpool appliances.

The plastic that was on the fridge when it was shipped was really annoying. But the fridge has been great since purchase. Over 4 years later still runs as well as the day we bought it.

The product is 2 1/2 years old. We have it at a vacation home. Went to check on the house in March and found soda cans had exploded, literally, and a case of ale was frozen along with other items. It appeared to freeze items on the left side of the refrigerator. There was syrup all over the bottom of the refrigerator from the soda. We had it set at the "recommended" cooling level. We also had the freezer at the "recommended" level. It took a couple of hours to clean up. When I called Whirlpool, they told me because of it's age (again 2.5 years) there was nothing they could do. The warranty is a one-year warranty. If you don't buy the extended warranty, you're stuck. I contacted an appliance repairman we have used in the past. He said it was probably the controller. He priced it from a distributor at $226. That's just the part. He does think I can do the repair myself if it is the controller. You would think Whirlpool would stand behind their products for more than one year. I have a Hotpoint refrigerator in my basement that's 36 years old and still going strong.

When we got it, there was an issue of clicking noise when open/close the door. We call Whirlpool and have the guy over to fix the problem under the warranty. He used the nail filing the get rid of excessive plastic part which i thought it was a very cheap fix and they could have just replace the imperfections part. However, we were let it go because it does the job. Two years after purchased, the fridge started to freeze everything. A week later, all my icecream in the freezer are melting and the meat started to thaw! Of course, the warranty is for a year! I have never seen refrigerators that works for two years!!! Very bad quality! Don't buy this. The Whirlpool Corp handle this situation very badly. They won't do the right thing for you.

This is the worst refrigerator I've ever owned. No matter the settings, the refrigerator and freezer is either too cold or too warm. No way to coordinate top and bottom temperatures. Ice cream melts, and steaks don't defrost in the refrigerator after a week. I wish I could get my money back, but I spent too much time adjusting the controls.

If every year these companies are going to make appliances more like a piece of garbage, that will reflect in my reviews. The compressor makes a high pitched "normal" compressor sound. I get a feint knocking sound from the freezer when its doing it's thing. I was told by many that these days things are made bad and the sounds are simply normal. If normal is garbage than so are the ratings you get. I was told I should invest in a 2000-3000 dollar refrigerator if I want something better. No way should I have to spend this. My uncles refrigerator at the cottage that's 50 years old sounds like this one does brand new. The Maytag I had for 15 years didn't make these sounds and finally went out without a sound. I live in a condo and my kitchen is right by my living room so there's no way I can have it doing this while I am trying to relax. Now I have to return it and try an LG at about $1000. I don't have much hope for that either but we will try. 1 star rating. If you have low expectations you should probably pay attention to the higher ratings. This Whirlpool is an abomination.

After around 2 years the freezer started icing up. Defrost coil is heating up and water seems to be draining which is noticeable when I open the refrigerator door. I now have to manually defrost every week. Maybe I got a lemon because it seems this unit got mostly positive reviews but unfortunately for me I am regretting this purchase.

Did not buy extended warranty unfortunately. Lasted almost 2 years, then broke down. Tried to fix, wasted $250 trying to repair. Had to buy a new one. Why can't these appliances last longer??

Refrigerator is excellent. Just have to clean it about once a week. Great space inside.

I'm on number three looking a different maker to replace now! Don't bother calling Whirlpool they offer to send a 3rd party repair person,bogus up charge even under warranty. They're all defective models! All three cause food to freezer dry within a week., And the noises. Each one delivered freezer drys, does'nt seal We've thrown out $100's of dollars in food! Through Covid! THIS MODEL ALL DEFECTIVE, a nightmare! Does not seal! Store manager has offered me to pick another refridgerator. Whirlpool you need own up to defective product. Do have any idea how night we've thrown dinners!

If you want a long term appliance, I do not recommend. Only lasted a little over 3 years with normal used. Would have cost $1000 to repair.

This refrigerator was exactly what I wanted when I bought it. Two years later and now have a refrigerator that freezes everything in it. It doesn’t matter what it is (milk, fruit, vegetables…) or where I put it in the refrigerator, it will freeze and need to be defrosted before using it. I've followed all the troubleshooting steps offered by Whirlpool, no luck just wasted time. It’s very disappointing, I read good things about Whirlpool and I now know I should have paid closer attention to the unsatisfactory reviews given for this model. I bought a washer, dryer, and range at the same time as I bought this refrigerator. The other appliances are made by another manufacturer & they work great.

This refrigerator is nearly twice as loud as the noisy 13-year old Kenmore unit that it replaced. A horrible purchase that will make me miserable for years.

I received my new refrigerator yesterday and after a few hours working started to make a very loud noise. I will return it to the store.

Unfortunately, this Whirlpool was a swap out for a Samsung which I was told would run more quietly, however, it does not. The Samsung was a lemon and now this Whirlpool is even worse..Very loud running fridge when the compressor kicks on (about every 45 min to an hour and runs a very long time. Also no light in freezer is inconvenient but would adjust for that if the fridge ran quietly I am not satisfied overall Will be calling to have it exchanged out for a much better refrigerator. I'm sure I'll have to spend more money to get a better product. I buy with Best Buy because of their great customer service. I'm hoping that it holds true as I seek out a reliable, quiet running fridge that I can live with. .
