I waited 4 months to write this review as there were some mixed reviews and I wanted to make sure there were no delayed issues which there were not. I selected this model to replace a unit that was installed when we purchased our home 13 years ago. The unit design (stainless steel and black) is a perfect fit with my kitchen appliances even though they are not Whirlpool. The handle is sturdy and makes it easy to use a well as minimizes fingerprints on the stainless steel. The inside is large and very easy to clean with a damp cloth. The touch pad is easy to use and the functions work well especially the defrost and dinner plate choices. The unit heats and defrosts evenly but I tend to use the lower recommended time range on food packages due to the power of the unit. While the fan on high is louder than my previous microwave fan, it is far more powerful and effective. There are also three other fan settings below high that are very quiet. Overall I am very happy with the look, performance and value of this microwave.

This is a good microwave in many regards. It heats up very thoroughly and quickly, and there are several options for different power levels, different foods being cooked, etc. However. There has been something up with the circuit board since day one. About half the time the hood light simply doesn't work. Also, several times the display panel has gone completely dark. I have tried calling Best Buy and have gotten the run-around through the phone tree numerous times. I want to talk w/ someone at the store where I purchased it, but the system seems determined to keep me from talking with a human. My husband is now working on it - he has more patience than I do. Getting to the bottom of a problem with a recently purchased item should not take hours and hours of work and patience.

Initially it was very noisy and I almost returned it. But by the third time I used it the vibration was gone and now it is super quiet.

We just bought a house and the microwave over the stove wasn't working. After lots of research comparisons decided on this beauty. Incredible value a lot bigger than I was expecting which we love. I can fit a full pot inside. Very satisfied.

Have only had it less than a month so haven't had too much experience with it. However, it is sharp looking, especially the inside. I do find that it doesn't seem to heat evenly, but then again I haven't used it for too long so the jury is still out on it. My daughter used the ice cream softener button and it has worked great!

Only had a few weeks but it is a lot quieter than my last Whirlpool. Don't even know it is running. When you shut the doo it is well insulated you can tell. I am very happy so far with the product. Like the 15 second button.

This microwave oven is so fast and it's amazingly quiet. There are times I've had to look at it to even tell it's on!

Very similar to the earlier model we had that finally gave up but with better features and more interior space (while physically the exact same size...even got to use the same bracket, so installation was a breeze!). You can turn off the beeps. I love that.

Very well built have alot of features. Its very quiet and is a big plus.. i highly recommend it to everyone

This microwave seems to be very well made. We really like the fact that it's really quiet when it's running and instead of having one of those annoying beeps when it finishes that almost every other Appliance seem to have for 30 years this one plays a little Harmony that's quite a welcome change.

I've owned this microwave for about a month now and am so far, very pleased with its performance. It's probably the most quiet microwave I've ever known. Can't speak to the longevity but I've always had good luck with Whirlpool appliances so I'm confident it will not let me down!

This easy-to-use ,it is the best for very basic kitchen.

Product is super. Install by third party could have gone smoother. Minor damage to wall paint and a chipped tile and the unit itself tilts a little lower in the rear causing the door to swing shut on its own.

This is a replacement for a very similar microwave. So far, so good. This one seems to be a lot quieter than the previous one.

Best microwave we've owned. We bought a new Frigidaire a couple of years ago and were never happy with it (didn't cook well, loud beeps that couldn't be stopped even when you open the door, etc.) and it finally completely died on us after only 2 years of use. Did a bunch of research and short of jumping up to the next level of microwaves with convection built-in, this is the best I could find, and we're very happy with it. Only small gripe would be that it only has quick time button for 30sec. It's dumb, but I find it nice to at least have 1,2,3min quick button (i.e. push one button for a minute) than having to either push 'Time' button and enter the entire time, or press the 30s button multiple times. Still, wouldn't trade this for any others I've tried.

Super happy with this purchase! The interior size is very spacious and allows for two level heating with grill. Some people complained that the grill began to damage the interior of the microwave but the grill is only supposed to be in there when in use, not at all times. I love the steam option and also being able to turn off the turntable. The only complaint that I have is the clock and for that reason I gave this 4 stars. The blue back-light tends to blur the digits so it can be hard to read and it doesn't help that the numbers seem small for the digital pad. It states that this is supposed to have an automatic vent turn on if it senses necessity. I've seen complaints that the vent can be very loud and can't be turned off manually but I have yet to experience the auto vent. The install process wasn't too difficult either (for being non professionals). Overall this is a great product and definitely recommend!

I bought this microwave to use while my contractors where finishing my new kitchen. I was pleasantly surprised with how roomy it is. I was able to put full sized paper plates, full microwave dinners and etc. inside. If you are short on space, this microwave is for you.

It is better than expected. So many features and I thought I wouldn't use them well I was wrong. Love the steam feature, capacity and how quiet it is. Very easy to install. I'm glad I chose this microwave.

Wonderful Microwave. Replacement for older Whirlpool Model with different features. Will purchase the same brand again when needed.
