Customers are impressed with the ease of use, quiet operation, and generous size of this 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Microwave. Many appreciate the microwave's performance and modern design, while some found the light and display challenging to see. A few users noted issues with the control panel and timer functionality. Overall, the positive feedback on ease of use and quiet operation outweighs the negative comments regarding specific features.

I like it. I’ve had it 6+ months with no issues. I bought the larger one because I thought it might be made better, but I like that it sits lower, as I have shoulder issues. It replaces a 16 year old Whirlpool. Installation was fairly easy and theres not much to ’figure out’ as the learning curve isn’t too extreme. It’s chock full of neat features and it even comes with a shelf on this model which I haven’t used yet, but kinda cool. It also vents thru the front, so no need to have an external venting system. I hope it endures as long as the previous microwave! I would definitely recommend this model.

I've only had this microwave installed for a few weeks but so far it is fantastic. I was shocked to hear how quiet it is compared to the one we had previously. Food cooks evenly and it is simple to use. Installation was easy with 2 people. It went right into the space where the previous microwave was.

This microwave is a bit larger than our last one. It's quieter which is a plus. Our large dinner plates fit in it as well. Not sure if its just me but many times the timer gets set but then isn't working, could be user error. Overall am happy with it.

The Whirlpool is a simple, easy to use microwave. Lots of room for larger items, and very quiet. We especially like the 2 way light and multi-speed fan.

We had an older Whirlpool over the stove microwave which worked ok but became sensitive to the door not always shutting. Replaced with the basic Whirlpool over the stove unit and decided to self install. On opening package, saw the door was not aligned. Installed unit and it would not run. Contacted Whirlpool, who sent out tech guys on 3 different trips, ordering parts, etc. After 3 weeks of frustration, returned unit to Best Buy and they didn't have my cheapo model so upgraded to this deluxe (open box) for same price. It works, it's quiet, has 4 not noisey fan speeds (be sure to read instructions on relocating fan if you are self installing). Love this unit, not too impressed with service people (who were not from Best Buy).

This microwave fits perfect over my stove. The inside is larger than my last one which is great!! Can hold 2 levels of food meaning cooking/warming up two plates of food at the same time. Lots of good features, am very pleased with my purchased.

I've had this microwave about a month. It replaced a 12-year-old Whirlpool which was slowly dying, so before it quit altogether, I decided to replace it. I went with Whirlpool again because I have had good luck with their kitchen appliances, and they are reasonably priced. With the exception of a dishwasher that only lasted about 5 years, the Whirlpools I have owned (either with the Whirlpool brand name or Kenmore made by Whirlpool) have lasted a long time.
This microwave has all the features I want, the controls are familiar and intuitive to me, and I liked the clean lines. When opening and closing the door it has a very solid feel, in comparison to Whirlpool's less expensive models and other brands.
So far, in terms of performance, it has exceeded my expectations. Obviously, there have been improvements in microwaves during the past 12 years. This is quieter, the fan works better, the range light is brighter, and food cooks very evenly. Just as with the model in the store, the door has a very solid feel.
However, a few days ago I noticed that the part that contains control panel on the right hand side was slightly loose. The only reason I noticed it was that I was standing to the right of the microwave and wanted to adjust the fan speed. When I pushed the button from that angle, the whole panel moved a little, which it should not do. It's not a huge problem and the microwave continues to function just fine, but I went into the store to check the floor model, and it does the same thing. I asked a salesperson about it, and he told me to call Geek Squad, which I plan to do, but I think it's a design issue. Strangely, the less expensive Whirlpool model does not have this design issue.
So I'm not sure yet about long-term build quality. Because the part that moves contains the control panel, it is possible that steam from food being cooked on the stove could get in and perhaps damage the control panel. I will get Geek Squad to come out and take a look at it, but wanted to alert shoppers to check this out when looking for a microwave. Other than this possible problem, I recommend it.

Installation of this bad boy was a little difficult because I had to wire a new outlet into the back of the cabinet but it was much lighter than the model it replaced. So far it has been easy to use, heats the food very evenly and quickly. Haven't used the 2 tray system yet but holidays are upon us so you never know. The lower light is also bright. This is another great product from Whirlpool.

Works great. The last over-the-stove microwave I had was from 2008. This one is quieter and heats faster. I like that is has 4 different exhaust options and most of these are quiet. I cooked bacon in the oven, which has set off my sensitive smoke alarm before, and on a low exhaust this was not an issue. The exhaust was so quiet it was hard to tell it was on. There are so many options for sensor cooking also. I only wish that they included the instant 1 minute buttons for less touches. Overall, so far a great microwave.

So glad we opted to pay a little more to get this very spacious microwave with choice of using 1 or 2 shelves. Plus the interior is easy to clean. We had it delivered. installed, and our old microwave was taken. Very nice technician.

We love this microwave! It’s easy to use, comes with a dividing rack, is quiet and cooks very evenly. The inside is also Nice and roomy. I was surprised to find out I could fit a cookie sheet with cookies in there. (Not to cook, but to keep away from the dog, LOL) LOTS of room. I think it’s by far the best microwave I’ve ever owned.

I replaced a Samsung that was a lemon with this Whirlpool. So far, I love it. It has an easy to clean inside. It cooks more evenly. I tried the sensor cooking once, and it over heated a bit. The defrost works perfectly. I thawed bacon on auto defrost and it was thawed, not cooked. The fans works great at all 4 speeds, and you can use the microwave while the fan is on any speed, unlike my last microwave.

Great looking microwave, easy to use. This replaced our 22year old Whirlpool microwave. We bought this microwave at a great sale price. We also love the 12 preset heating settings.
