Customers regard the 2.2 Cu. Ft. Microwave with Sensor Cooking as having a perfect size for most kitchen counters and praise its heating capabilities and ease of installation. However, there are significant concerns about the microwave door's functionality and the overall durability of the appliance, with some users reporting issues with noise levels and display problems. The warranty also received negative feedback. While many appreciate its powerful heating and attractive appearance, potential buyers should carefully consider the reported issues before purchasing.

This microwave looks good and works well.
But the previous microwave of the same model, which our builder installed with our new house stopped working few months after the warranty period ended. As I already had the trim kit for this one, I bought the same model. The feature I like the most is we can select exact time with seconds to heat up foods , though I use that feature mostly for heating up milk.
So far, my new microwave is working good. Should see how long it would last.

Bought as a replacement for my builder built that gave out on me. Luckily I could use my old Frame and save a couple hundred bucks.
The unit makes a loud humming sound in the first 2-3 seconds of heating but then quiets down. The latch opening and closing is loud and unavoidable. Very powerful and heats quickly. No option to turn off the sound of the timer going off and it will repeat if you don’t open the door within about 30 seconds off the first alarm sounding. Looks good and very powerful.

This is a very nice large microwave, we purchased it to get a little more space in the unit and we got that! It looks great, very classy. Not complaint on the performance it works great and cooks perfectly. Only one minor issue with the microwave, the button to push to open the door is a bit hard. When you press the button to open the door it requires a firm push to open. When you shut the door, it sounds like you a slamming a door, quite loud. Overall, the microwave is very nice, but the door release and closing could use a little improvement. Thx, Gary

Bought to replace an older whirlpool model . Needed exact dimensions to fit into cabinet and this newer model had the perfect dimensions. Works well like any other microwave. My only complaint is that the door doesn’t close quietly and is a bit clunky sounding. Looks great in the kitchen and matches well with the other whirlpool stainless steel appliances. I am happy with the purchase.

Don't like the fact that sometimes before working it will read that there is problems with the door. Wished it was a lot quieter. love the size, its just difficult to close the door quietly. also the microwave keeps beeping even though the door is opened.

This microwave is full size and is built-in ready, even though it does not state that. There is a kit available to wrap around it for installation in a cabinet. Looks great and works well.

The microwave was reasonably priced and had nice features. The only issue was that it had a dent in it. I’m sure this was from the delivery driver since I ordered it to be shipped to my house. However it was returned to store without an issue and I am waiting for the new to arrive.

First one died after a year, but I had the trim kit so I bought another one. Hopefully this one lasts longer.

Good Microwave. Cooks great but it is a little loud. Bought to replace a 6 year old Whirlpool that the touchpad died on. If I get 6-7 years out of this one I will be pleased for the price point.

Large and powerful! This microwave cooks much quicker than our old Kenmore and has a lot of space for large dishes. The only knock I’ll give it is the lack of shortcuts. My previous model would preset to one minute by pressing 1. Preset to 2 minutes by pressing 2. This one doesn’t seem to do that. It’s a few extra buttons to push so not a big deal.

It works pretty well, and also has some programing capability that is nice. I had problems setting the time. It always turns back to 0:00 and I could not find the reason in two weeks. Any device that is difficult to adjust the basic settings, is not acceptable. It is also too noisy. The door bangs loudly when open or close. For the amount of money I paid for it, I expected to be a little more refined.

Not what I expected. The door is thin; it is loud when it closes. I am disappointed; this is an expensive microwave.

It does all operations as required - heating liquids, defrosts well, reheats as expected.
I only have one complaint - sooner or later the internal light bulb will burn out. There is no easy way to replace it. It appears to be an incandescent bulb which heats the internal cage grating (no other internal surface gets hot). A service call to replace the bulb is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty, so if the bulb needs replacement, I will have to either take apart the appliance to access the internal cage or have the Geek Squad do it (I purchased a 4 year protection package).

Overall works great! And fits the space I needed it to perfectly. My only negative is it took awhile to receive one that was not damaged due to manufacturing packaging. Best Buy was great and handled my returns, just wish it wasn’t needed

Ordered online, much bigger than expected. 1200 Watts so fast heading. Makes quite a bit of noise but get used to it. Nice auto warm up features.

It's big like I wanted but it's quite basic for a $400 microwave. No sensor defrost. It doesn't seem to be as powerful as my last model either.

This microwave model was what we had for 7 years before we dedicated to replace. Over the years, the switches had problems and then eventually it stopped working. It could have been repaired but would be bit cumbersome and costly. So we decided to buy a new one and went with the same model from Whirlpool as we have liked the product.
Purchase and product delivery experience with Best Buy has been good too. Product was received on time and in good packaging.

NIce microwave. Bought it because it was the only one with a built in kit available. Nice and powerful 1200 watts cooks stuff fast. I have found that with some frozen dinners it gets a bit overdone right in the middle when using the times they specify.

Replaced older, equally sized, unit with this one. Just an increase of 100 watts, over the old one, but have already had to learn to adjust my cooking times. This size (2.2 cu ft) is perfect for a great many items. Too bad there is not more of of the same volume available on the market. Most seem to be smaller.

Basic microwave. Purchased as replacement for wall mounted because of measurements to fit. Also bought trim kit to make it look built-in.
Disappointed that it does not have the rapid cook options of others where you can choose 1-6 minutes. Only has a 30 second button, which can be pushed repeatedly to increase time. Otherwise, it has standard options for popcorn, potatoes, etc. Works well so far.
