Ice maker is defective

Whirlpool won't answer the phone and they won't answer emails. BUT they will sell us more parts to fix it! Very disappointed in Whirlpool, always had in my mind that they were a good brand.

Whirlpool put in a air filter compartment but, does not include the filters with the refrigerators and my store had a hard time finding one to give me as they have to be ordered and are considered not necessary. Why put them in if they aren't needed or wanted? I prefer having that filter which is in the side wall to having a box of baking soda taking up space.
