Pleased with purchase after almost one year

I trusted Best Buy: they literally delivered this galley-sized, attractive Whirlpool ASAP. I was caught off guard when my previous refrigerator conked out last August. I immediately ordered the Whirlpool, BB, during a heat-wave. Also survived during a limited supply chain issue. Went into camping & coping mode: cooler, bags of ice, haha, while accepting that replacement Whirlpool wd take 10 days to arrive. I was patient (tried to be realistic.) I was clever enough to add-on BB Total Tech Support. The Whirlpool is just great. Yes: tiny teeny freezer. I learned not to over-react & over-buy. I know there will be another sale. All the detailed assets are working as described. Whirlpool is very quiet. It makes ice, dispenses filtered water, amen. I’m happy with it, almost one year in.

Love this fridge. Had a Whirlpool Gold one before but I think this is in the same class because instead of saying Whirlpool Gold it has a gold oval on it. Of course the inside is not the same but with a little time we will make due with the shelving. Love the ice maker! And having the filter on the top instead the bottom is a godsend for my knees. Have had it about a month and so far .... great,

We had our kitchen redone and through some miscommunication the space for a fridge was incorrect, so we ordered this one. Fits great and it has been fantasstic so far. Whirlpool makes great stuff.

Bought this as an open box. It had one or two bumps on it but was perfect for my purposes. It is now in and working well. It is attractive and has the advantage of through the door water and ice, both of which work well. It also has the advantage of giving a measured volume of water which might prove useful in the future. Being counter depth it looks attractive in the kitchen and does not overpower what is a relatively compact space (small!). Noise is acceptable, it hums and whirrs but it is not intrusive. I was impressed with the delivery service - on time, polite and took away the old fridge - all with the minimum of fuss. They measured the doors, realised the screen door on the porch had a bracket that might interfere, took it off and replaced it without comment, or head scratching. Pretty impressive I reckon.

Refrigerator is OK, not great. Ice maker takes long to make ice, shoots ice out everywhere while using the ice maker on outside of door. I tilt cup at an angle to try to catch ice. There are not enough shelves in freezer. Refrigerator side is so compact and noisy. I constantly have to adjust shelves to fit certain food & drink items.

I wanted a counter top depth refrigerator, this one fit the bill. I like the way the inside is laid out and the only complaint I have is the quality of the stainless steel on the front of the doors. It is a very poor quality and I am so disappointed in that. It is supposed to smudge resistant and I have smudge resistant before and this isn't it, I am constantly wiping fingerprints.

I have a Whirlpool suite in my rental unit and decided to purchase again for my own home. I didn’t want to go high end but this gives me that newer black stainless look that everyone is raving about. My first unit is 4 years old and still works like new. The ice maker is a bit noisy but I don’t sleep in the kitchen, so it’s fine.

Had this unit for a month so far. No complaints. Had to have a counter depth and this one was the best bang for the buck. Had a Samsung French door in our previous home and it was a disaster. The ice maker was in the refrigerator section and it constantly froze up and never made ice. This puppy puts out more ice than the North Pole. Very happy with this purchase.

Good Fridge with a Few Big Annoyances

It's a good refrigerator and freezer, with a few annoyances. On the plus side, there is a good amount of freezer space for the size due to putting the ice maker in the door. On the downside, they skimp on the number of freezer shelves; it feels like there should be one more. On the refrigerator side, if you put things in the back of the fridge where the cooling air blow/circulates, they will freeze. There are warnings about this, but it happens accidently all the time if you push something onto a shelf from the front, and it pushes something back to press against the back of the fridge, that thing will freeze. We've lost a couple tubs of sour cream this way. Also annoying, to activate the ice and water dispensers, you have to press the paddles on the front of the freezer in odd ways. You would think that pressing on the bottom of the paddles with your glass would trigger the water or ice to flow, but that's not the case and that is very counter intuitive. Add that odd switch to the fact that the ice dispenser has a few second delay between pressing and activation, and you'll watch people struggle to get ice and sometimes water. We've gotten used to this and still struggle sometimes. But otherwise, it's a good machine.

The freezer needs more shelves. Fridge shelves not adjustable. Be careful with your floors they do not move around as well as the older ones. There is like a shield in the bottom front that sits really close to the floor like protecting some wording and other stuff. On the first one that dragged the floor and right beside it a ground wire screw was not screwed in. They did bring me another and that shield was better but still sits very low towards the back. Also the ground was secure. The way they do the protective clear cover it is difficult to get it all off. When they fill apparently with some sort of foamy insulation they make a mess of it in different locations and it is hard to get off. The icemaker on crushed throws ice everywhere. On the good side it appears to be keeping proper temps so far. The lighting is decent and the water and ice are good. The air and water filters really crowd the top shelf and with o real adjustability you're just kind of stuck with the way the set it up. Although I was a whirlpool fan for most of my life next time I'll be checking some other brands.

Overall this fridge is definitely an improvement over the 16 year old smaller Whirlpool (bought from Sears due to limited cabinet space in the old kitchen). Due to a kitchen sink flood issue, the old cabinets were removed and now I have room for a larger model. Seems to have enough room for a family and definitely appreciate the ice and water dispenser. The shelves seem a little flimsy but it’s too soon to tell how durable this product will be.

Sooooo happy to be done with the bottom drawer freezer! Still plenty of space in this unit, I love it! Giving 4 stars because more shelving could definitely be used in the freezer compartment. Other than that, love it!

    Great Simple Fridge

We bought this counter-depth fridge to fit into our new build (fridge side entrance to the kitchen is on the narrow side) and fit like a glove. Goes great with all the other Whirlpool appliances. It's easy to clean and resists fingerprints. Lots of interior hooks to adjust shelving to your needs. If you're looking for a quality fridge without all the "smart" gimmicks that the others have this is the fridge to get without breaking the bank. Cons: Space is limited on the inside but that's just one of the sacrifices of going counter-depth. It's silent 98% of the time but can get pretty noisy when it's replenishing its icebox. Depending on your kitchen, you may need special fittings for the water connection if you want to get that completely flush look with the counters. Otherwise, it may have to stick out more than you would like.

We absolutely love this refridgerator. The counter depth really helps in the tiny condo kitchen. One of our favorite things this fridge has is the ability to program the water to give you an exact amount. This is great for cooking. It was very pricey for the amount of space.
