This refrigerator is a decent size and has water and ice in the door, which was a must have for me. Due to the narrowness of the space and access it was just the right size.

Our fridge space is limited because of cabinets so this was the perfect fit. Fridge runs a little noisy I’m not sure if that’s normal or an issue? Freezer, ice maker, and refrigerator work well. Like others have stated the quality control at the whirlpool factory where this fridge was assembled isn’t all that great. I found random screws laying around inside the freezer when I first opened it. I have no idea what they go to or if they were extra screws left during assembly? I just hope that this fridge does not prematurely fail because of parts not being properly secured.

Whirlpool refrigerator works well. Had to have Geek Squad come out to align door closure. Water and ice dispenser is a design flaw ... water dispenser leaks after using it and ice will come out even though we don't use it. Using a lot of paper towels to wipe up water on floor area! Please advise or let company know about design issues.

Noisy evaporator motor, Some install issues

It's a nice looking refrigerator. Lots to like!! One major thing to hate, maybe two.... Love the water/ice dispenser. We have a limited opening (only 68" height and 54" wide clearance). This was 1 of only 2 side-by-side refrigerators with ice/water dispenser that would work. I'll just get right to this cons: - The evaporator fan is loud when it cycles on (several times an hour). This is the fan in the back of the freezer. I believe it's normal, not defective. It's just loud. It's 2-3 times louder than our old 20 year old whirlpool top freezer unit. In fact, I don't remember ever hearing the evap fan on that one unless I opened the freezer. It's been 2 months, I'm finally getting used to the fan noise. I can only attribute this to a crappy cheap fan, or thin refrigerator walls, or poor noise dampening insulation, or poor fan mount design causing resonance. Or, probably all of the above(i.e. cutting some mfg corners). But, my wife doesn't seem to mind, and so, as the old saying goes.... happy wife, happy life ;) Sorry to those who hate that old saying :) But seriously Whirlpool, look into this design. I would have rated 5 stars without the noisy evaporator fan. - Doors were not even. Immediately the BestBuy installers said "that's normal!", as they immediately flipped through the manual to point out a section where Whirpool does state, this is normal. Fill the frig with food and it will level out.. NOPE! wrong! That did not work... Heck I dropped another $200 worth of extra groceries to see if that would help. LOL. It did not.... So nice try Whirlpool. I get every installation is different, uneven floors, etc... But is seems like a documented cop-out for sloppy manufacturing practices. Just guessing... So I asked the installers, can I adjust the doors. "No, they are not adjustable", they said. Fill it with food and it will level out...."Ooooh really", I said. "Never heard of such a thing". The refrigerator also rocked from front/left to rear/right. I said, "Do the wheels adjust?", Nope was there response..... "Ooooh really" I said. "I Never heard of such a thing". Starting a sense a theme here..... I started to really worry about what I got myself into... So long story short.... The doors "DO" adjust. You need to pull the lower front trim panel. The front wheels ALSO adjust to help level and fix any wobbling of the entire frig. The bolts are right next to the door-adjusting bolts. After 15 minutes of adjustments, she sits perfect and beautiful. I called the installers to have them update their training notes ;) - The door swing open really fast and hard one you get past the ~75% of the swing. I notice this more on the refrigerator side. I hope there's an adjustment for that. All of the items in the door trays take quite a jolt if your not careful. Also the doors will not swing back and close automatically if you get past that 75% swing point. Maybe that's by design? if it is, its a crappy design ;) Pros: Other than that, we really like this refrigerator. -The interior size is bigger than we expected. Works fine for the 4 of us (2 adults, 2 Teenagers). -We do not have any "unwarranted" water dripping down the front door. I say unwarranted because, if you pull your glass out too fast, you could get a drip or two. But that's any frig with a water dispenser. And yes, an Ice cube will get stuck in the down-shoot once in a while, like many other refrigerators. Overall we are very happy with the water/ice dispenser (2 months into ownership). -No issues with the compressor fan. I read a lot of reviews about that being noisy. But wonder if they meant the evaporator fan? Not sure. -Finish is pretty nice. It is not totally fingerprint free. But it cleans up easy (wipe with the grain). My wife loves it, and would give 5 stars. I think it's a good unit. I'm picky. And since I'm doing the review, it gets my rating of 3.5 We are satisfied so far and would recommend.

After receiving 2 defective refrigerators, the third is the charm. Works well, a little more spacious than our prior version. Only problem is that water reservoir not large so water doesn't come out cold after that first or second use, and the ice maker is slow. Other than those minor things, good refrigerator.

I love it! It’s beautiful and everything works great. The smudge resistant stainless steel really keeps the surface looking great. The ice maker and water dispenser work great and I love he much I can fit in the fridge. The only issue I have is that it makes more noise than my old fridge, but that’s really minor.

I wanted a side by side this time. I don’t care for the freezer on the bottom. My only complaints with this fridge is that the top shelf is a little short. So my orange juice container has to lay on its side. And slow on making ice. Otherwise perfect for a single person or a couple. I’d say it’s to small for a family.

Noisy. Freezer is too narrow for certain food items I bought (boxed pizza, waffle box). Similar issue for the fridge. The top shelf can't be adjusted, and items I normally buy just barely squeeze in there (gallon milk, OJ container).

We purchased this refrigerator a month ago. It is functioning well and it runs quietly. The freezer space is narrow but it is of adequate size for our two person household. The refrigerator space has sufficient capacity and the interior appointments are very satisfactory.

Good fridge. Water line drips when complete. Seems to be a common problem with this fridge. Need to keep a towel in the hole to keep drips from staining the stainless steel. Whirlpool needs to address this.

New appliances with technology can be a challenge for older adults! But, this refrigerator isn't complicated - the freezer and fridge temps are preset for you. You can change them if you need to by just the touch of a button on the outside of the freezer door. Side-by-sides are narrower, so it's an adjustment to get used to not having as wide an area to put, maybe a roaster in sideways. If you have a larger family, it might not be your best choice, but for two older adults, it's fine. The freezer doesn't hold as much as our older, energy-eating one did, but, again, with only two of us, it's ok. It looks nice and when you get ice from the door, it makes a loud noise, so be prepared for that. It's a good appliance for us.

We live in an old, small apartment by the beach, and we had limited options because the space for a frig in our kitchen had cabinets starting at 69 inches, so we needed something shorter than the norm. We also wanted a stainless steel look, an ice maker and an water filtration system. Finally, we also wanted a delivery service that "installed" the frig--many sellers leave them curb side, so always double check those google shopping options--and we need to keep the price low. We're renters, so we'll likely need to leave the frig when we leave, so we wanted to stay around $1000. We found three options that fit all this criteria, and the other two options were inferior to this Whirlpool unit. If you have no restrictions on space and price, you can certainly do better, but within our limits, this unit was perfect, hence the five-star review. That said, a few caveats. When you open the door, it will swing ALL the way back if you don't control it. The interior is also a bit smaller than you might expect, but it's worth the trade off. And the holder for six soda/beer cans is a nice touch. Lastly, we've only had the unit for a short time, so we don't know about its durability. So far so good, and hopefully it keeps working fine for years to come. Hope all this info helps.

Needed a smaller side by side with ice and water, for a condo. Happy with this Whirlpool so far. I would say it is perfect for one to two people, but no more. Freezer section is small, not suitable for any type of bulk storage, Temperature control seems good. Water and ice features work great. Not totally quiet but not too terribly loud.

Great frig , but just a little loud when running. The ice cubes are small which help a lot . Veery rummY for its side. And good looking too. I would buy again. Fits well in the space we have.Love the Two Doors . I had a three door and was tired of the big Drew on the bottom . zI was hard to use and that is where the ICE MaKER was. I am very happy with this new Frig.

    Not Worth It

We purchased this refrigerator because it was the only one that fit in the space of the old one. Delivery was great - the guys took the old fridge away and installed the new one and leveled it. No complaints there. None of the shelves are adjustable except the ones in the door, where you can put a two liter bottle but anything shaped like a bottle keeps falling over every time you open the door. If you want to put a gallon of milk in the fridge, it barely fits on the top shelf, with the lid hitting the top. Same with the orange juice. There is a water and an ice dispenser on the outside of the freezer door, but the cutout is so small that you can't reasonably place a tumbler (thermos water bottle) underneath the ice or the water dispenser. When you angle your tumbler to get ice, you invariably hit the water dispenser, which then spews water not just in the drip tray but also all over the floor. If you accidentally brush up against the control panel, next time you go to get something out of the fridge, everything is frozen. On top of that, even if you set the temperature correctly (default setting), stuff that is all the way in the back is always frozen. And the most bizarre thing it does after you get ice, it will spit out an ice cube many minutes later.

Very nice refrigerator over all. My only complaint is the last of space on the freezer side (very narrow) and how the ice maker takes up about 1/3 of it. Nonetheless, it has good cooling and produces good ice.
