We've only had the freezer for about 3 days. It's made in the USA - and you can tell the quality right away. We put it on the coldest setting and with the compressor running at the max it wasn't hardly noisy at all. And when it's running just to maintain a temperature it's completely silent. The 3 sliding bins are a nice touch - as you can move them around and easily access stuff stored on the bottom of the freezer. We already have this thing almost filled with tons of frozen waffles, dinners, meats, etc. We're also freezing milk, almond milk, flour, etc. But there's still lots of room left over if we wanted to really cram it full, we could add about double of what we have in there now. The amount of storage space inside is unbelievable. We've had a smaller deep freezer for several years and kept running out of room. So we decided it was finally time to add another one and we wanted a big one so we'd never run out of freezer space again. At the time of purchase it was mid-covid crisis and this was literally the only freezer available in our entire area, and there was only 1 left. All the other freezers are back-ordered for well over a full month. Our first choice was the GE unit that's this same size. But due to availability issues I noticed this one. As it was the only one in stock. We have multiple other WhirlPool items and have always been impressed with their value. The cost to quality ratio is always great. Very happy with this so far - and I'm sure we'll be happy with this for many years to come. We'll update this review if there are any issues. But that won't be likely. We'll tuck this away in the garage and simply enjoy the added freezer space. Highly recommend this product.

I like this freezer. It is relatively quiet and keeps items frozen as expected. It is a basic model at this size and price point. Excellent to keep frozen food. Perfect size to have it in the garage near the kitchen.

I like this freezer. It is relatively quiet and keeps items frozen as expected. It is a basic model at this size and price point. My recommendations are few. I would like to have gotten more baskets and a second row of baskets to manage the space better. I would like to have an external digital lcd display of internal temperature. An alarm if temperature exceeds a predetermined point would also be a feature I would prefer to have. WiFi monitoring would also be a plus. I got this particular model because I do like whirlpool BUT it was only one available at time of order. It took me months to find one available online. I would pay more for the additional features described above but I am happy with what I got with this model at this price. Chest freezers continue to be sold out EVERYWHERE. I would buy it again if the circumstances were the same....

Started out wanting a stand up but went with this instead. Glad I did. It fits a lot! Which with a large family I need all the space I can get. It keeps everything nice & frozen, I love that it has a lock that is great for keeping the kids from stealing all the hot pockets and pizza rolls all night. Lol! Super happy with my purchase!

Awesome freezer for big families. Great baskets. I wish the bottom had adjustable dividers you could move around to continue to subdivide the bottom portion was f the freezer. I wish it came with a different key and an extra one.

This thing is huge, with this virus thing going on and limiting the amount of meat you could buy, I had to buy this and start saving food. With a family of 8 in total, buying a bag of chicken and a pound of ground beef, I would have to be at the groceries every day. Headed to the ranch and did some butchering on on our live stock. It will literally fit a cow in it!

All in all, this is a good freezer. The things that I don't like are the handle that sticks out far enough that it is easy to run into it, the compressor that vibrates/makes noise more than expected, and even though I knew it wasn't included, a temperature alarm would have been nice. The worst problem is the location and length of the cord. My previous freezer had the cord in the left back. This one has it in the right back. Unfortunately the cord is not long enough so I had to use an extension cord which shouldn't be used for a freezer. I purchased this when freezers were impossible to obtain due to COVID-19 so if other freezers were available, I probably wouldn't have purchased it because of the price.

This freezer was well priced and very large! Although it does not have all the bells and whistles that we are used to, it does not matter as its only a freezer and none are needed! Price was fair and its well put together! My wife at first said "its too big" however after a few days she changed her tone on this. Good size, good price and good quality! Thanks! S

We initially thought this would be too big, but when everyone was panic buying, there weren't any chest freezers available. I was lucky to snag this one. It has been humming away in the garage for almost a year. I was worried about ice build up since it will occasionally need to be defrosted, but so far so good! Everything works as it should, and we have NO complaints!

Very large and spacious. Can fit enough frozen food to feed a small country. Very quiet.

I know what you are thinking: how do you rate an item as mundane as a freezer? Well, to start, the freezer is as described on website. No surprise there. However, this freezer is QUIET, and that makes all the difference!

Nice size chest type freezer. Electric cord could be longer but you can’t have everything.
