Customers commend the 22 Cu. Ft. Bottom-Freezer Refrigerator for its overall performance, impressive capacity, suitable size, normal noise level, great design, and spot-on temperature control. The LED lighting is also a highlight for many users. However, some customers have noted that the door can be hard to open and that the surface is prone to showing fingerprints.

My previous refrigerator had french doors and bottom freezer. I never loved the french doors and now I know why. A single door allows me to see everything quickly. 1 shelf on door is deep which gives me more frig space. I love the LED lighting. The ice bucket in the freezer does not spill ice on floor when scooping ice out like my previous LG frig. Lastly, Whirlpool is still assembled in the USA.

It looks nice and has worked well so far. The stainless can show a lot of fingerprints though so you just have to keep it cleaned.

Works as promised, ice maker is good. Thought the wire racks in the freezer would be something i did not like, but no problem with them. 2 little things that dont bother me. Refrigerator makes pretty load clicking noise every now and then. Ice occasionally falls from ice bin to the bottom and is hard to get. Little issues but so you are aware

Good design, but noisy ice maker. Plenty of room. Really difficult to comment on reliability after 3 weeks which is when I was asked to complete the review. Satisfied so far.

So far I am loving this refrigerator, it’s a nice size and it’s roomy and easy to get to everything. There is one thing with the door that I’ve never encountered with any other refrigerator, if you try to open the door right after closing it, sometimes it is very hard to open. I had to do a google search and found out that it is to do with the vacuum so all you have to is put your finger in the seal and pull it open a little and the door will open fine.

So far my issue was for the fist 48 hours of ownership. It almost 2 days to get the refrigerator cooling at an acceptable level. I didn’t know that Whirlpool required it to be empty for 24 hours once it is plugged in. It took another 24 hours for it to maintain that level. I lost food during this process.
It is a little loud during cycles. I am not a big fan of the smaller ice. Otherwise working well.

The refrigerator is perfect for us. We did not want exterior ice maker access as we’ve had problems recently with that feature. Plenty of space inside both the refrigerator and freezer.

For the price, this is an excellent refrigerator. Does everything we need. Does not have a water filter and no cold water either in the door or inside, but we were willing to give that up for the size and price.

We love this refrigerator! It’s roomy plus we can adjust the shelves in the main part of the refrigerator and the door as we need. The freezer keeps things frozen. The only thing that was interesting getting used to was the suction on the door. If we had just closed the door (and had to go back in), we had to wait a few seconds for it to release so we could open it up. On the other hand, it’s nice knowing that the door won’t come open on its own.

replaced our 20 year old Kenmore with the newer equivalent model (made by Whirlpool) because we liked the bottom freezer and layout of the shelves. They replaced the bottom door with a drawer, which actually makes for better use of the space. The height of the unit increased slightly from the earlier model, so we ended up shaving a bit off the cabinets overhead to make it fit. I think it might be quieter than our old one. Have been pretty happy with it after a month of use.

I really like this appliance. The only negatives are very minor - it shows fingerprints and you have to wait about 10 seconds to open the door if it has recently been shut. Those things are very minor to me. The layout of the unit is great. The shelves and lighting in the fridge are great. The icemaker is great. The temperature is great. Delivery and installation by Best Buy were great.
No complaints at all other than the 2 very minor items mentioned above.

Door too wide for space

Not a thing wrong with this unit, outside of the fact it is the wrong configuration for our space. It replaced a french door model which went kaput. In our space, the single wide door was just too much door. I very much liked the idea of the icemaker NOT running through the door, but rather directly to the bottom freezer....much more efficient and less prone to break down.

I'm loving my new Whirlpool refrigerator more each day. My family loves the ease of adjusting the shelves to accommodate different size dishes or products. Took a little getting used to the bottom-freezer, but this refrigerator was a good buy for the money.
