Customers are saying

Customers regard the 24" Built-In Dishwasher with 1-Hour Wash Cycle highly for its quiet operation and excellent cleaning performance, frequently praising the convenience of the third rack. While some appreciate the dishwasher's capacity and ease of use, a few users noted longer than expected wash cycles and some concerns about the durability of the appliance.

    Works good so far

Everything seems to be running smooth. Only reason it is not a five star is because the guy installing it bumped my pipes around and I got some leaking. Took me about 10 minutes to get everything back right and now I’m good.

dishwasher works well, but the top rack is poorly designed. I've replaced the brackets holding it to the sliding bar THREE times and my machine is less than 18 months old. After the first time we learned we needed to be very careful about pulling it out and loading evenly from the back. It doesn't seem to matter, both sides just broke again. This isn't a dishwasher to have if you want to teach your kids to load and unload. I'm scared to let them touch it. It is very annoying, this was a big purchase for our family.

The dishwasher is nice but bottom right side was bent as if it had been dropped. Its installed now but door is not shutting as it should. Will have to call service. Store should check before one goes through this hassle

My wife and I purchased the Whirlpool suite to update our kitchen and we have not been disappointed! This unit is spacious and offers all of the bells and whistles!! Still have a few things to figure out on the user end, but super happy with its performance and appearance for sure!!

We've only had it for 3 years, have repaired different parts several times (especially plastic parts for the glasses rack), and now have to replace it. It is leaking water onto the floor anytime we use it. Cost of appliance repairman not worth fixing this again.Love the design of silverware rack on the door, 3rd rack, and black stainless steel appearance, but disappointed in performance.

My wife loves this dishwasher. Clean look and cleans dishes. A lot of thought was put in the design. Even I would buy another exact model later down the road.

It's been too long since my dishwasher dried dishes. I have missed it so much! I can put the dishes away in a fourth of the time it took when I had to HAND DRY after running the machine.

I picked this unit up to replace my loud aging washer. This does take a while to wash, but is very quiet and super energy efficient. It does a good job at washing dishes. Drying can be a little hit and miss with objects that lay flat.

Great dishwasher. Very quiet. Lots of space inside and many configuration options. The top "large utensil" tray is ok, and seems to clean well, but you can't put large spoons or spatulas in there...mostly only flat items like knives, etc.

This is a great dishwasher. Lots of room with the silverware basket in the door. So quiet sometimes I forget it is on. Cleans dishes very nicely! Have recommended to several friends already!

Exceptional unit. The only issue is that the third rack is very thin. Outside of this, love the unit. The black stainless steel matches my other appliances. Finish is awesome. This unit is highly recommended.

I am writing this review after using for more then a year. The life of product is 1 yr to 1.5 yr. I recommend, not to buy any product from whirlpool, cheaper quality product manufacturer. When I bought this dishwasher, it was the high-end product. I DO NOT want to give even one star rating. Better to go for some other brand, if you do not want to take headache after 1 year. All the brand of whirlpool are of poor quality so avoid all of them. Similar experience I had with KitchenAid microwave.

Small leak and squeaky middle rack

This dishwasher is less than a year old. It has started leaking from the door due to the gasket not staying seated. The middle rack squeaks and catches the gasket pulling it out slightly. Very annoying to have to constantly push it back into the groove. The speaking middle rack is annoying. I didn't have these issues with the last whirlpool I had so I'm disappointed with this purchase.

This Whirlpool is so quiet that we have to check to make sure that it is running. I love the silverware rack is on the door because I just remove it and take it to the drawer.

    Win Some, Lose Some

With every new generation of appliances, you're always hoping and wishing for a product to "move the needle" forward, and be more effective than the previous generation. But with some things, it's hard to do that. This dishwasher falls in that camp when it comes to CLEANING. It only moves the needle in quietness and usability (space for stuff and ease of control usage). I had a Whirpool dishwasher previously that was ~10 years old and worked just fine, cleaning super dirty dishes well. This unit cleans equally as well. So long as you use enough soap, load properly, and use hot-enough water (making sure you run the faucet water until hot enough ---120 degrees F or greater!) then you'll be satisfied with the cleanliness of these dishes. Just like in the past, super stuck on stuff isn't coming off, etc. But, in order to achieve that super quiet design (my older unit was like a plane taking off!) they got rid of the food grinder. This means that now, sometimes I have little food bits lurking in the unit after the wash is done. The dishes are clean but corn niblets are on the door, or on the floor, etc. It's weird. But it sure is nice being able to hold a conversation while the unit is running! You'll definitely still hear this unit while it's running, by the way, but it's much quieter. I can hear a motor humming (slightly louder than the fridge, for example) but it's not awful. And the usability is primo! My old unit used to fill up so quickly because it only had two shelves. That third shelf is great for all my cooking implements and my tupperware lids...freeing up way more space down below for other goodies. And I love that you can adjust the height of the 2nd level shelf, another great bonus. Finally, the controls are a breeze to operate, but I would have preferred physical buttons to these capacitive touch buttons. The cap-touch buttons don't work if your fingers are wet, which is typically the case when I'm loading the washer...this necessitates the step of drying off the top panel and my fingers in order to make my selections. But it looks sleek, is obvious and clear to use, and works well.
